Morning All,

Trying to push some protien this morning.  Having some low blood sugar shakes this morning.  Almost blacked out, not a good thing.  My own fault.  Didn't get any breakfast this morning.  My morning routine was backwards or something this morning.   I am going to Tennessee for work next week and looking forward to being away from the office.  I took Friday off to be with my boy when he gets home.  I don't get into to Metro until 10:30, so I booked a hotel room so I don't have to do the 2.5 hour drive after a long day of meetings and flying.

Trying to get used to the new manager at work.  Well it is going to be a long process.

I was looking forward to starting my 5k summer walking program in March, but the doctor said I can't go past a mile until after I see him April 10th.   I get so frustrated.

Ok, I am picking myself up and dusting myself off, and  setting my sites on warmer weather next week.

Good Morning!

Did you ever have one of those days when you feel bigger than you did before surgery??
Well today is one of those days for me . . . I must really need to push the water I feel so bloated!

It is a quiet at work today . . I know that will come back to bite me.

Well yesterday I was all set to start an extra 30 minutes in my work out  . . . well that didn't go
well for me . . heck I only did 300 steps on the stepper and sat and watch useless TV . . . I love winter but I think I may have had enough. I want to get out and walk, hear the birds sing and feel the warm sun on my wrinkled face.

Enough rambling . . enjoy the day!

Morning!  A few years back, when all the "stuff" started to hit the fan for the automotive companies, and hubby wasn't sure he'd have a job, we had decided that if he got a buy-out, we were heading south. (We weren't HOPING for a job loss, but making plans for something that was very possible.  We're very happy that he was deemed "necessary" and still has his job.)  I would move to FL in a heartbeat, but he says there are too many snakes in the swamps.  I reminded him that I wasn't planning on living in a swamp.  LOL!  We lived in NC for a couple years and I loved the climate.  Yes, it was humid, but humidity doesn't bother me.  Like Brenda said, that's what air-conditioning is for.  I'd rather run the A/C than the heat.   And as my sister, who lives  in Tucson, says, "You don't have to scrape sunshine off your windshield!"  My DH just said the other day that we need to take a vacation, so I've been checking out rentals on the Gulf.  I'm thinking a beach front would be a great place to celebrate the one year "anniversary" of survivng his stroke!

Afternoon All,

Feeling somewhat better today.  Still have the pain in my side but it is easier to breath today.

Went to  Kmart today and they had all their clearance clothes 40 % off.  My kids made out like a bandit.  I found a spring coat for me.  I was so happy it was a mans small.  I got all of my errands done as well.  So it was a very productive day for me.

As far as warm weather goes, I would love to move back to Texas.  We lived in west Texas and there is no humidity, only 10 %.    I hate snow, slush and every thing related to winter.  Although I love fall and watching the leaves change and that does not happen in Texas.  It is just different shades of brown.

I live in  Florida for 8 yrs.,
and all I have to say is

HUMBUG
Humidity and bugs.
in the off season it rain like clock work every day at 4 pm ad then it get so humid you can't breath. as far as enjoy the sunshine you won't get the chance to because you will have to work all the time to afford to live any kind of descent standard of life style.

and the roaches "Palmetto" bugs are just roaches. really big ones.

icky

Christmas feels like the 4th of July and real Michiganders do miss the snow.

No Way Mary!

I am a REAL Michigander, and if I never, ever, never, ever saw another snowflake in my life, I wouldn't miss it.

Like Tina, I lived in NC (we actually lived right by each other!) and loved the warm weather, with or without humidity.  We had GIANT roaches as well, but that's what the exterminator is for!

My old, bariatrically messed-with body just can't stand the cold any more.  I need to be one of those grandmas on a porch down south in my rocking chair!

I opt for AZ and dryer climate. and have snow shiped in a zip lock baggy for Christmas
but I did miss the snow and Christmas just didn't feel like jingle bells to me.
Of course I felt that FL was as close to Hell as one could get.

I am down for the count. I started with a ear ache then my throat started to feel scratchy. So I went to the doctor on Saturday.  it was not my not my regular PCP. She said I had and ear infection. She gave me what is known as a Z-pack. The kind were you take two tablet the first day then one for the next 4 days. I took the pills the first day and that night I began vomiting. I figured that I had the stomach flue too cause last week my son came down with it and 3 days later Julie got it. And this was about 3 days after she got it.  I couldn't eat or drink anything for Sat night Sunday and Monday. I could hardly stand. So Monday I called my Doctor Who was in and he said go to the emergency. Well I had this horrible cough it felt like I was having spasms in my bronchial tubes. I could not bring anything up. And I just knew that was cause I was dehydrated. So I get to the er they take my temp, and blood preasure blood ox. and they whisk me to the back take ex-rays, and do blood work, and dump two bags of iv in me, give me a shot for the nausea, and the end results are pneumonia. So I have been out of it for about 4 days. just able to sit up with out my head spinning at 6 pm. tonight. They sent me home with meds. for nausea, so I could get the fluids, said to keep taking the z-pack cause it is very stomach friendly. and see my doctor in three days. I am feeling better just coughing now with results, the hot and cold have stopped, and I actually got out of my room to watch some TV for a little while. I did get some vegetable soup in and a 16 oz crystal lite and 2 16oz water over the coarse of the day. tomorrow I will try to get some protein powder in. So I had an ear infection, respiratory infection pneumonia and the stomach flue all at the same time. The H1N1 ain't got nothing on this
