Ahh, the wonders of teaching-snow days! Woohoo.
Weather is lousy down this part of the state and I hope for thos who have to travel do it safely! Will be breaking out the snowshoes later today.
What are you waking up to this AM? for me, decaf and black coffee. So good.
QOTD-What are you seeing as a sign of spring, either nature or not?
I've been enjoying these earlier daylight hours. Makes the longer commutes more enjoyable. Love the Easter stuff I'm seeing in the stores. Can't wait till spring..
Enjoy!

Uh Oh Deb.  I posted at the same time.. Oh well.  They'll either post on your thread or mine.  Doesn't really matter.
We didn't get much snow up here, just a dusting, but it's snowing right now and the plows have gone by twice so far.  IMO that was a waste cuz there's really not enough snow to plow, but they were spreading sand.  We don't use salt up here.
QOTD-  We saw some buds on a tree the other day.  Must be a mutant of some sort.  It's certainly not warm enough for buds yet.  I noticed the other day that it was almost 7 and it was still sort of light outside, use your imagination gals!  Maybe I'll even try to plant some flowers or something this spring and hope the rabbits and deer don't like them.

Good morning Deb.  I also love the longer daylight hours.   More sun showing lately too in these parts.  Not too much snow here although I think we are pretty used to it anyhow............Have a great day everyone!!!

Good Morning!  I'll just answer both because I'm feeling sassy today!..lol.  Yucky commute this morning to work but could have been alot worse.  Not alot of the school districts around me closed this morning although our city did.  I am hoping the college closes sometime today because I would love a night off of school!  Although no school really just means I have extra time to shovel and snow blow my house and the neighbors house.  Unfortunately it's dark when I drive to work and dark when I drive home so I don't get to see the daylight hours so much during the week unless I head out for lunch somewhere but that is rare.

QOTD:  I think the easter stuff in the stores tells me spring is on the way and all the stores are setting out their patio sets and grills.  And my sure sign that spring is on the way is that we start planning our camping trips for the summer!  Yay Spring and Summer!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day today!

Good morning.  Had my coffee.  Tried to share my cottage cheese and peaches with Dub.  He wasn't so keen on the cottage cheese.

QOTD:  FLIP FLOPS in the stores!!  Can't wait to wear my flip flops, again!!

Morning all,

I smelled a skunk the other day and at first I was light yuck, then the very next thought in my head was spring is close.

They are definately out and about.  I have seen alot of them dead on the road in the last week or so.

Funny you came up with the skunk thing Cheryl.  Yesterday we were out, and I said to Gary, SKUNK!  That means spring is near because they're out and about!  Can't wait to hear the spring peepers, then it's for sure.

The drive in was not fun and it's going to be even more not fun on the way  home.  Hoping for a snow day for tonight's classes -- and even if it's not cancelled, I'll probably just stop by and drop off my assignments then head home rather than trying to drive home at 11pm.

QOTD -- Every year my mom organizes a craft day at her church where about 200 ladies come and take 3 different craft-making classes.  For the past 10-12 years (or however long it's been going on) I've taught a class.  It's always a big production for the teachers because we have all our own supplies to buy, get ready and organized - so I'm often working on stuff for weeks ahead of time.  But to me, this craft day is the signal of spring.  It's coming up in just 4 weeks, so spring is nearer than we think!  Now if I can just get my 30 doodle books made in time!  :-)

My Recipe Index is packed full of yumminess!
