QOTD: What do you do in the morning if you happen to get up extra early?
I usually try to get something done, but sometimes, just lay back down on the couch and watch the Today show.
Please pray for our troops.

This morning I crawled out of bed, got ready for work, made a protein chai tea and drove for an hour and 20 minutes in to work. Not quite an ambitious as Jan, of course.
Did you guys see Shaun White's run last night on Men's Halfpipe Snowboard? OMG! It was so amazing. I couldn't believe how much better he was then everyone else ... not by just a little bit either, but by a huge amount! I loved watching it!
QOTD - that pretty much never happens. I'd rather sleep an extra 15 minutes than get up and do anything in the morning. I'm more of a night owl and could stay up till 2 or 3am every night if my alarm didn't go off so early in the morning.

I have to get motivated here in a few minutes. I have a home visit today with one of the workers and I need to get dressed and do the dishes before that happens.
QOTD: If I get up early I am like Jani, I tend to get a bunch of little things done. If I sit down and watch TV it is over for awhile until I get motivated. Like this morning. I am not motivated yet and I need to get going... But once I start look out! I am glad I have this energy because I never used to have it when I was heavy. In the spring or summer it is worse because I am always itching to get out and work in my garden.
Had my 2 protein coffees and some toast with sausage gravy (bad me). Working from home, so all the temptations of the fridge and cupboard are haunting me...
QOTD: I DON'T get up extra early - on purpose. There have been times lately when I've woke up at 2-3am and can't get back to sleep. Usually I just lay there and wait it out, sometimes I get up, get on the computer for awhile, then go back to bed.
If I wake up at 5:30-6 - I may get up... all depends on if its a work day or not. If its not, I say "heck no"! and roll back over and go to sleep!
Its 9:45 and I'm still in my pajamas... at least I'm working...

Good Morning! 10 more hours and I will be in WARMER weather ! ! ! Can't Wait !
I already have had my coffee this morning, working on getting laundry done so I can pack. (oops, also working in between) I have to figure out what is comfy to wear in Fl.
QOTD - I have been known to get up at 3:00 am many days, it is normally when I am behind on work and I am stressed over it, so when I do wake up at that time, I go into my office and sign into work and get 'er done. If I wake up just an hour early or so I usually turn on the tv and enjoy my first cup of coffee. The problem with getting up early and going in the Livingroom is all the dogs think it is time to get up and eat, they can't eat early because one of the dogs is diabetic and we have them all on a strict schedule to accommodate her. They will bark, whine, dance, whatever it takes to get our attention because they think it is breakfast time. Gone are the days of being able to sleep in, years ago I could sleep in till ten or noon, I can't do that anymore. When my first husband was alive he was a very early riser and I wasn't, he would have the yard work done, cars washed, etc on weekends while I slept in. After he passed away I couldn't sleep past 5 am and still don't sleep in late after ten years. I tell everyone he is getting back at me for all those years....LOL.
HAVE A Safe Day !
I did see the flying tomato's run. Pretty cool!
I'm off today because of the kids being out of school. It really bugs me that people in my office act like I'm in the Bahamas every time I take a day off. We get the same number of vacation days (well, I get a few more for being an officer) and most people go away for theirs. I take mine off for school breaks and doctors appointments. When I return after my day off, at least 2 people say something like "Vacation day...must be nice to get away". Ugh.
Anyway....QOTD-I stay in bed until I absolutely have to get up, which is when Nick decides it's time. On school days we get up at 5:45 and he keeps that time on the weekends. So if the occasion ever came that I was up and didn't have to be, I would stay in bed!
Hope you all have a great day!
