Hello everyone, I recently tore a ligament in my foot and the podiatrist prescribed me propoxyphen-apap and methylprednisolone tablets.  I contact my surgeon office to speak with a nurse but she never called me back to see if this medication won't affect me.  They are steroids only to be taken temporarily.  Does anyone know if this is okay to take, since I had the RNY surgery in November, I want to make sure without experiencing complications.

I get a lot of good information from my pharmacist . . you might try them.

Hello,

So sorry to hear of your injury. I have taken steroids for a skin problem I have . I had major knee surgery 3 months before my RNY and my orthopedic doc gave me VOLTAREN gel. its an antiimflammatory in gel form because we can take NSAID ( non steroid antinflammatory drugs)

Hope this helps. But the suggestion before mine is the best ... A pharmacist will will know for sure

Thanks you guys, I did speak with the pharmacist and he did say it was okay. The Voltaren gel is what I had for my knee surgery some months ago does help but the orthopedic surgeon is out of town.
