Monday - 1 day closer to Spring
Hello Michigan!
Well, there is still snow on the ground but yesterday was the big Daytona race so we know spring is around the corner, the races have begun !
I finally weighed myself today after having my reconstructive surgery 12 days ago and the scales show me down about 5 pounds. Woo Hoo, I know they took more then that off of me but hey, beggars can't be choosers. I am thrilled with the scale and the results so far!
I do have to call the doctor this morning, looks like I have infection in a couple places, just waiting for their office to open. Hopefully they'll just prescribe over the phone, otherwise I have a two hour trip ahead of me today to go see them. I'm not running a fever or anything so I am glad of that.
Stay Warm and THINK SPRING !
(edited to correct word)
Did I hear the word SPRING? Oooo.... if only it were already here.
Happy Presidents Day! I'm off work today and trying to take advantage of the downtime a bit. Still have to drive down to Auburn Hills for class this evening though.
Having some crystal light this morning and will make a batch of my delicious carbquick pancakes with blackberries in a bit. I've got a massage scheduled for noon today, so it's going to be a good day. Still have a couple hours of school work to do, but hoping that's not too painful (in case you hadn't noticed, school is seriously kicking my butt this semester).
Have a good day all!
Pam

Spring? Where? Bring it on...Spring means camping!
I'm not so lucky to be off today. We don't get president's day off.
This morning I had a Carnation Instant Breakfast. and that's it so far. I'm actually feeling very bloated today and sore. I'm not sure why but something is up. I guess I'll give it some time before I try and eat anything else. I do have a glass of ice water sitting here on my desk so I will work on drinking that slowly.
School tonight for me so I'm taking advantage of some slow time at work and working on my chapter review. We didn't have class last wednesday due to the "snowstorm" so I am not sure what is going to happen in class tonight.
Hope everyone has a great start to their week!
Happy you got rid of 5 more lbs.
Pam Happy Belated Birthday. Sorry Didn't get on the puter until very late last night since we went to my Sister & Niece combo birthday party. I was surprised cause a lot of the guest complemented me on my weight loss and how much younger I looked. It made me feel good.
I seem to be stuck in a Stall and it is a big one, it has been since before the power outage and I have not lost an ounce I bounce 259 to 261. I have increased my protein and am getting in my water and vitamins. I have to be honest and admit I have not been doing any exercise since my big walk with the dogs. And I need to get back on track with that. I have been doing other things like deep cleaning my house. I guess that is not enough. I fear that I may have screwed things up and won't be able to lose any more weight. Help!
I am too looking for spring. I am truly getting cabin fever. I hate to go out in the cold and am afraid that I will hit an ice patch and fall and bust my keister. So I stay in and vegetate.
I have decide to take a photography class in the Spring. I Think I love my camera.
Have a wonderful Day! And Be and Play Safe

I too am at a plateau again, up two, down two. I'm not getting in all my water and it's causing headaches I think. I'm going to try to do better. Maybe I'll get the dogs out for a walk tomorrow, it's supposed to be a balmy 30* tomorrow.
Hey, thanks for the Medical Alert site. Appreciate it.

I did how ever purchase a size 20W jeans and an XL shirt for the party, yesterday.
that is down from a size 28W ans a men's 4XL tea shirt.
I think I just get afraid that it might stop at anytime before I am at goal andI will feel like a failure.
Which this stall is making me feel like.
It'll be leftovers for me for the next couple of days, mostly stuffed cabbage. Son and I made runza's yesterday. It was interesting. The filling is pretty bland tho.
A runza (also called a bierock, fleischkuche or Kraut Pirok) is a yeast dough bread pocket with a filling consisting of beef, pork, cabbage or sauerkraut, onions, and seasonings. They are baked in various shapes such as a half-moon, rectangle, round (bun), square, or triangle. In Nebraska, the runza is usually baked in a rectangular shape. The bierocks of Kansas, on the other hand, are generally baked in the shape of a bun.
[edit] History
Both the bierock and the runza sandwich have German-Russian roots going back to the 18th century. The term bierock comes from the Russian word pirogi or pirozhki and is the name for any food consisting of a filling stuffed into dough. The recipe was passed down from one generation to the next, and was brought to the Americas, particularly to Argentina and the Canadian provinces of Alberta, Manitoba, the U.S. states of North and South Dakota, Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Kansas and Nebraska by the Volga Germans.
I had to look them up because I had never heard of them before. The dough itself would make a wonderful dinner roll. We made ours with ground beef, onion, garlic, shredded cabbage and salt pepper and Lawry's seasoning. It still needed more. I think the next time I'll try filling it with bbq beef or bbq pork. It would also work well with a sloppy joe mixture. Not the most WL friendly, but can be worked in nicely.
Sally, I hope your Dr. can take care of you over the phone. I know it's sort of a pain in the sss to have to drive 2 hours to get to see him. I just want to chill at home for the next few days. The only reason I have to go out of the house tonight for is to take out the garbage!
Thinking Spring, but still seeing winter here!
Sunshine to everyone...
