Berrien County - interested in a support group?

We have no good support groups for WLS patients in southwestern Michigan.  Is there anyone in the Berrien County area who would be interested in attending one here?  I'm going for my one year appointment this year and I'm hoping to find out what I need to do to get one started.  If you are interested, please let me know.  There have been a few people I personally know who would like one here.  I would love to know if there are more of us.

Hi Kerri, I live in Berrien County, there are a few people in St. Joe county (South Bend area) who are interested in getting a support group together. What part of Berrien county are you in? I'm right near the state line, Niles area.

We live in Baroda.  I'm sure if we set up a group, we could do it at a central location for everyone interested.  After my doc appointment on Wednesday I will post here.

I don't know what part of Berrien County you live, but there is a  support group in Sturgis(St. Joseph County)  that is "overseen" By Pat R , a GHP patient. Don't know if you are close enough to Sturgis (especially with the weather like it is today). Something to think about. Good luck with you 1yr check up.

I would be interested.  I live in the Niles area, and I work In Baroda.  I'm having RNY on friday.

Great! I had to reschedule my one year appointment (no school - and my day care was closed).  It is set for March 12.  After that appointment I will post here and we can get started.  Good luck to you this Friday.  You will LOVE your new self :)

Sounds like a plan!  The roads were NASTY this morning!!!!  I am in Baroda right now working, but today is my last day until after surgery, I couldn't not show up.  Luckily the daycare didn't close too.
