Question about doctors

Hi. I have been banded since Feb 2007. I have not lost more than 50 pounds and am having issues with my band. I have called my doctors office repeatedly and no one ever calls me back. My question is if anyone knows of doctors that may take a patient even if they did not do the original surgery. I really like my Dr. (Dr. Wood) but if I cannot even get a call back to make an appointment I need to find someone that can help me. I am too tight and my port is just flopping around in there and it is very uncomfortable to exercise or do anything with it. Thank you for your help.

I *think* my surgeon does revisions on patients he did not do the original surgery on. He is out of Kalamazoo (Borgess or Bronson hospitals) and his name is Stuart Verseman. Don't quote me, but we were talking about the surgeries he does. When I asked about problems/revisions/ he said he has seen some surgeries (mostly bands) that people had done in other states, but he revised and never had any problems. His point was that he knows what he's doing, very rarely has problems...not that he takes other surgeons patients.
He might be worth giving a call, though.

You might also want to try Dr pesta he is in warren an I can say he does take patients even if he did not do the orignal surgery ( I am living proof lol I switched to him about a year following my band.
He is great I have never had an issue with him.. infact there has even been times when he is not in the office that If i need to coem in he directs me to the hopspital where he will meet me. He has been a great doc even got me through my stay in ICU following a suregery he did ( was not his fault I ended up there though) ...

Hey Stephanie, Sorry to hear your having problems. I would keep on those girls at Doc Woods Office and insisit on seeing him. I would just make a big stink with them. And when you do see him let him know how much trouble you had getting into see him. I wish you luck. Good to see you It has been so long since I saw you....probably a few years now. Take Care & Good Luck, DeAnn
