Well, sorry about that, and sorry you have to train him (I've been down that road before, too). But, look at it this way, you still have a job. After tomorrow, I won't. I got laid off.

Pam,
Sorry you didn't get the position.  Training your new boss is tough but you have to continue working for him so you have to go into this with the right attitude.  Hopefully you will have a great relationship with him, I'm sure he will see how good you are and be very appreciative of your skills and knowledge.  In the end this could all work out well for you.  Stay positive !
