OT: Women-Are you wearing red today?
Hi everyone, Today is American Heart Association Wear Red for Women Day! This is to increase awareness of women and heart disease. We are never too young to have heart disease.
I have two family members that just had massive heart attacks. My bro-in law had a quad bypass two weeks ago. My younger brother just had two stents placed in his heart yesterday. My brother's blockage was called "the widow maker" God was watching over him....
It's not just a man's disease. It is the number one killer of women...
Please wear red and take care of yourself!!!!

Well - I still have my red jammies on, but when I do get dressed, I'm going to wear a red sweater.
Heart disease also runs in my fathers side of the family, which I'm fortunate to take after - that's one reason I had my WLS to take care of my health - but I know it just doesn't stop there.
Thanks for reminding everyone!
