Grand Health Partners...my appt

Hi!

I'm scheduled in a few weeks for my Initial appt at Grand Health Partners in Grand Rapids.  I attended the Orientation, and the next day I was set up for this appt.  They mentioned it was for History/Physical, and then I'd be seeing Dr. White.

Can anyone share with me what all happens at this appt?  What exactly is done for the 'Physical' part?

Height, weight, blood pressure, ekg if needed.  Going over past medical and surgical history.  If you need additional testing like sleep study, egd, stress test they will be ordered along with 16 vials of blood to be drawn.  When you do the scales they do a special printout of how much water, fat, bone mass you have.  It's pretty cool.  They also will recommend if you haven't already had a pap or mammogram.

Pretty simple and easy.  Dr. White is very nice.  Hope this helps!

Thanks, your information is definitely helpful.  I like to know whats happening at an appt before I get there.  Was driving me crazy not knowing what they may do.  I was wondering about the sleep apnea test.  I wasn't sure if they scheduled that, or If I should be doing that through my doctor.

Boy, 16 vials of blood sounds like alot.  I hate being poked, so I hope they can get that much from one poke.  I haven't had a Pap test in at least 5 years (I know..that's not good).  Guess I should go ahead and get an appointment and get one done beforehand.

 Had mine today and it's pretty easy. Height, weight, blood pressure, EKG, physical history with Dr. White. Ordered my labs and a few additional tests.

Kerri you look GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...I have also been very very happy with Grand Health Partners...& Dr. Foote..I hope when I go there next month for my year check up I can get my before & after picture with Dr. Foote...all I can say is they helped save my life...Sweetie keep up the good work, and enjoy the new you...you deserve the best....Hugs Bev in BC
