Finally Friday
I don't know why I titled this thread 'Finally' Friday. I sometimes lose track of what day it is now, since everyday is a Saturday when you're retired.
I guess I did it for all you working stiffs! I'm going to start volunteering at the Humane Society. I just hope I don't get too involved with that work. I could end up being a rescueer.
I hate it when my laptop is down. I got my first virus somehow. I'm just hoping it doesn't fry my hard drive. I don't have a backup system, so if it's fried, I've lost everything. Not Good at all. Hubby has said to get some sort of back up, but I've just never done it. Now what????
Went shopping for a dress yesterday for an upcoming wedding. Macy's had a great sale. I bought two dresses cuz I couldn't make up my mind. The sale was so great I saved $156.00 and spent only $92.00 for two dresses! I love sales!
No plans for this weekend, will just take it as it comes.

Good morning, Jan (and those to follow). I'm up before Dub for the first time in a VERY long time. His bottom 2 teeth have been in for about a month and now he's working on the top 2. His sleep has been so messed up, but last night it was kinda back to normal.
Jan, have you considered an external hard-drive as a back up? They are handy! You can get them for a very reasonable price with quite a bit of memory (probably more than you current hard drive has).
Not sure what the weekend has in store. I have a couple things in the making, but one is not up to me and I'm just waiting to hear from my sis-in-law to find out if we're going to the hands on museum in Ann Arbor. I may do pics on Sunday, of Dub, for Valentine's day....for the grandmas. We shall see.

you can take [pc to best buy and have a geek check if it is an incompatible up grade issue.

A friend of my son's is a computer guy as a profession. I've called him and he said he'd call me back. I'd just as soon send him the computer and have him fix it. He has told us that a lot of the 'geek squad' at Best Buy are just high schoolers and they take out the manual and go step by step. Not totally reliable.
We just bought this desktop computer for Gary's garage in September so it's new. I got Windows 7 to load on it, but I've heard people have had a lot of trouble with '7' so I think we may just stay with Vista on this one.

TGIF!!! Slept later this morning as I'm off. Was a long week with the drive north Wed and Thurs with the weather and bro-in-law having his open heart surgery. Good to be back on OH.
Going to see Avatar this weekend in GR at the IMAX. Will celebrate my birthday with my girlfriend and later with the DH....
