We went to our 6 week post op Tuesday and they suggested we try a high protein bread.  They also suggested adding lentils to things with beef (taco meat etc)

Does anyone know of any name brands of high protein bread?  Does anyone have recipes with lentils?

Thanks a bunch!

 Hey there,

I don't have any good lentil recipes but have tried high protein bread. If you are looking for a ready made loaf there is one I tried that was "fairly decent" by nutri-bread or nutri- bakery. It had about 28 of protein. If you look online and "google" high protein bread you should be able to find it and some sites that send foods and vitamins. There are also some good recipes for high protein bread if you venture to bake your own.(There are a few recpes for banana bread that weren't too bad.)
Hope this helps.  Good luck.

I have tried this bread, and it isn't bad.  It has 14g of Protein in 2 slices.  I find it at Meijer.

My favorite place to go for recipes is www.epicurious.com.  You can do a recipe search for lentils, but you are going to get an awful lot of lentil soup recipes.

Ezekiel Bread is really good, but you have to keep it in the freezer and take out pieces as needed because it molds quickly if left out.
It is what it is.
If He brings you to it, He'll bring you through it...
