What Are U Eating For Lunch/Dinner
Okay u guys, I need to ask this question so my Michigan OH brothers/sisters could try and help ur lil sis out. As I previously stated awhile back, my tastebuds changed drastically. So to help me out start sharing ur lunch and dinner ideas and hopefully, out of the many responses received, I could be on my way eating something that won't send me to the restroom.
Hi, depends on why you are heading to the bathroom...something stuck...or the other end...hahah! I'd say watch foods that are fatty..that can mess with your stomach. I am a long ways out and eat pretty much of anything...but saying that...what I eat today might not agree tomorrow. For a long time right after my surgery it seems I lived on Wendys chili, soups and if I did try a piece of bread it had to be toasted. But soup was my friend.

I eat alot of beans. Pinto beans, great northern beans, split pea soup. I buy the dry variety then add some meat and water in the crock with some spices yummy! My favorite lately is great northern beans with turkey or chicken in the crock with a bit of water when the beans and chicken are done shred the meat andadd a small jar of salsa and a block of your favorite cheese. White chili yummmmmmmm!!! Even my friends have been begging me to make them some. I also eat a lot of cottage cheese with a bit of fruit. My favorite is strawberries and bananas. Ham and cheese rolls ups. There are many different ideas..Good luck in your journey!
This week I happen to be eating cabbage roll casserole for lunches. I cook one pot/pan of something on the weekend and eat that all week for lunch. Dinner is a bit scattered for me this semester. On school nights I pack a mini-dinner of turkey slices, dill pickles and pb crackers then have a granola bar after class. On non-school nights I'll pull something out of the freezer or make a quick tortilla pizza or have a bowl of canned soup. Or if I'm energetic, I'll make a second pot of something on the weekend and do that for dinners on non-school nights.
If you go to the RNY Forum there's a thread there every morning called "What are you eating/doing today?" --- its a place where people post their meal plans for the day. And it's for anyone at any stage of post-op, so you can get lots of ideas for different stages of the diet.

Thanks for your input. My problem is getting my "new stomach" to try foods that I can introduce or re-introduce on a gradual basis and it won't allow me too. Uugh!! I am having the darnest time consuming as much as protein as I should whether its the meat or the protein drinks. I tell u my stomach is saying....I'm not ready!
Ok, so you're about 2.5 months out. What exactly is happening when you eat? Is it your stomach/pouch that is making you sick? Are things getting stuck? Are you dumping? Is the sick feeling once your pouch empties and it's in the intestines? Are you nausiated all the time with food or drink? Is it just certain foods? What CAN you tolerate?
