if you used medicaid for your wls....in MI

Where did you have it done???  I thought I'd exhausted every possibility but I keep hearing
these stories about people having their surgeries at Sparrow and such with medicaid... its so weird when I call these places they claim to not take it.   Of course right now my insurance/medicaid issue is rediculous  :(   I am stuck in a no coverage of any kind type bubble and when I call they tell me everythings been reposted to the state so just wait for my letter to arrive but its been 3 months now and nothing.  I called again last week they said it was officially reported Dec 7th and is in the computer and all I can do is wait... more blah blah blah

Jess- Did you call Minimally Invasive Surgery Associates? I know in the orientation there were quite a few people who were medicaid/medicare. Another thing is keep calling places because they may not be accepting medicaid/medicare patients right now but that don't mean in a month or so they won't. (Some Dr will only accept a certain amount of medicaid/medicare patients at one time) . Also I seen OH has a list at the top of the message boards of people who posted who their dr was for medicaid/medicare. There are quite a few smaller practices, I know there is a gentleman in Owosso who did my sisters in laws gallbladder surgery and she didn't have insurance and he ended up giving her a really great deal so maybe see if he accepts it I think his first name is Nathan. I called 28 Dr's but maybe it is time to begin again....   i only have regular medicaid though not one of the health plans because the state is either way behind or choosing to not send my letter out...its been months!
