Gaining weight after five years

Hi, Frankie.  I am a lap bander, not RNY, but I can still relate to the issues of overeating in spite of our surgeries.  The Michigan group is the best, and you will get lots of support from people who are just like you-doing the best we can every day to stay in control.

I too am five years out and have gained 20 pounds back after losing 180. My problem has been inability to exercise due to knee problems and two surgeries on my knee in three years (knee replacement, revision to the knee replacement). I'm still in pain and about to lose my job. I'm going through some depression, too, but I'm trying to work my way through it. I don't often check on the Michigan board but always go on the Over 50 Forum, that's been my support group.
