I'm feeling better today
Well, I feel better today and I think my problem was really a combination of things. Hopefully this will continue into tomorrow and it's not just a fluke.
Anyway, I was talking to Mary last night and as a result of her questions, I realized I had not been taking any of my prescription medications since I got home. Now... how can a person not realize they are not taking their meds???? Well, I did have major surgery. haha
I was not taking my antidepressant because it was so vile when crushed, I couldn't stand it. I must've run out of my blood pressure medicine and didn't remember to refill it.
Today I purchased a pill crusher and with some serious effort, I was able to crush my antidepressant to a powder and then take it with some water. This pill actually makes my lips and tongue numb when I take it. It is easier when it's crushed though so I will continue until I see my PCP in a week or so. I also refilled my blood pressure med and am taking that. The blood pressure medicine does not really taste bad but I still like using the pill crusher with some water.
I was also not walking enough (at all) so I did quite a bit of that today while I was shopping. I felt like crap when I left the house but after about 20 minutes of walking I felt better.
Another highlight (lowlight) of my day:
I found they have OhYeah! protein drink at Meijers. Today I bought 6 bottles at $3.00 a bottle. At least they have 32 grams of protein so that is good. Tonight I started to drink the chocolate and thought to myself, this would be good with a little mint flavoring. (It was good anyway but I like mint chocolate.) I added what I thought was a small amt of flavoring to the chocolate. It was way too strong so I combined it with the other chocolate I bought. Still way too strong, I opened one of the vanilla and mixed it in. Still too strong so I added another vanilla. So now I was out of 4 shakes. It could use another, but I decided the strawberry might not go too well, so I'm drinking a slightly strong chocolate, vanilla, mint shake. I guess tomorrow I'll have to replenish my supply. Live and learn...
Thanks for helping me yesterday.
