Ok, I looked at some past bloodwork and my B-12 was 927.  The 'normal' range was anywhere from 193-982.  Considering I'm 'not normal' anymore, should it be higher?

Someone said at least 1200 on the low end and 1500 on the high end.

I'm gonna be starting the shots again on Monday and wondering if I should be taking them every two weeks vs. once a month.

We want our B12 levels to hover around the 1000 mark.  Anything lower than 400 and we start to see permanent nerve damage... and a lot of people start to feel the extreme fatigue when their levels drop below 600 or so.  We're born with numbers around 2000.  For us, we want to maintain around 1000 -- B12 can drop fast, so we'd rather be on the high end of things.

1200-1500 is fine, but often the lab won't even record those high numbers... it's often just say >1200 so we don't know if it's too high.  And yes, even though B's are water soluble vitamins, we can have levels that are too high and can become toxic.

Do you know what your current B12 levels are?  I'd base your dosing on your current numbers.  Too low and bring it up quickly with bi-weekly.  If it's in the right range, just maintain it with once a month.
