Mary let me know if you're registering on line.  If so, I will too.  When I took the dogs for their walk today (almost 2 miles) I felt so good I tried running a little.  I was amazed that I could do it with no pain.  After I stopped I thought, gee, that felt good, and ran a little more.  The dogs were freaked out and kept looking at me as if I was going to fall on them.  It was really funny.

Good morning to all!  I've been up since 5:00 a.m. and had my first cup of tea, thinking about making another one.  Feeling very happy because my hubby came home last night after being gone all week in Key West for business - I missed him very much and glad he's home!

QOTD:  I am looking forward to having my WLS and getting slimmer and healhier.  Not looking forward to telling all our families and friends that I am having the surgery - don't think I will get a lot of support, but that's okay.  So, very excited about my upcoming surgery and the start of that journey.

My prayers go to all who have friends or family in Haiti.

Linda, just don't tell your family et al.  It's none of their business really.  I tell the people that I know will be supportive.  The others don't know.
Suzanne, I've always felt the same as you, however, my niece has traveled to Haiti several times on medical missions.  She actually delivered a baby the last time she was there.  She said that it is just so sad for those people.  She's devistated that she can't go help right now.

Had WC oatmeal for bfast this morning and am drinking cherry water right now.  I think I need to get in more fluids because I've been getting headaches more often now.

QOTD:  This year I'm looking forward to riding my motorcycle more.  Since we're in the north now and there are so many places to go, we're planning on doing more.  I'm looking forward to the Tulip Festival and my first 5K walk.  Just a fun relaxing summer.  No stress.

Jani... I can imagine how hard it is for the people that have actually been there... With me it is so hard because I see the way things are here for the kids that we have.. and I saw how we treated people during Hurricane Katrina and I just remember that we have to take care of our own.. But if you have seen that place in person I can see how hard it would be to see that devestation.

I agree with you, Suzanne.  (Not that I can't see Jan's point as well)

I saw that you can text the Red Cross and they will donate $10 for the earthquake releif.  How come that isn't available all the time to help people in our country?

Good morning!  Doing my usual thing...having some coffee, playing with Dub - waiting for him to take a nap so I can shower, and trying to figure out what to eat.  Blah....I wish I had a chef!

QOTD:  I'm just looking forward to all the great things that Dub will be doing as the year progresses.  I've even been thinking about his 1st birthday party!  I think it will be more of a celebration for his birthday and my hubby's one year post-stroke.  Since Dub's birthday falls right before Memorial Day weekend, more than likely we'll just have a big cookout or something.  We'll see as the time gets closer.
One other thing I am looking forward to is making weekend trips to Lake Michigan.  We went to Warren Dunes last August and had such a good time that we decided we wanted to go back often!  We'll see how that goes!  Even if we only go back once, I'll be happy.

I am back from the gym.  My time there is increasing each morning.  I was taught some stretching, flexability and balance today.  The trainer was amazed how flexable I am, but not too good at balance.  She started me on weights for my arms.

QOTD:  I am anxiously waiting for the concert in Detroit in March, a trip to Mackinaw Island in September and to get under 200#.  I don't get out much so these are big things for me to accomplish.  Money is too tight for me to leave MI lol.
