I am new to the site and just had my bariatric surgery on this past Monday. I am hoping to find support and friendship from this forum.

Welcome. I also had my surgery this past Monday. I was at Henry Ford Hospital. Where did you have yours? Did you have any problems? I was surprised at how well it went for me.

Hi Sandi
I had my surgery done at St. John Oakland. The only issue was the surgeon found I had a hiatal hernia so he fixed that also-- 2 for 1 special (ha ha). I was on pain meds until Thursday and havent been on anything since. I had a hard time with the protien shakes so my dietician suggested carnation instant breakfast no sugar and I am doin g great on that.

I had my revision done at SJO on 12/16. And, I too hate the protein drinks. One of my drinks each day is the sf Instant breakfast because those taste so much better. Not as much protein, but will do in a pinch, right?

You'll definately find support here. We're all in this boat together and supportive of each other. Lots of good tips here too.
