Dr. Krause - Pre-Op Diet?

Hi All,

Dr. Krause is in the process of reviewing my information to see if he can help with all the issues i've been having that we believe is caused by my lap band (Bad reflux, pain, etc).

Which if he takes the case and insurance approves my revision, i'll be getting the RnY.

For those that had Dr. Krause, what is his pre-op Diet for RnY?  Just curious.

I'm pretty much on liquids right now as I'm having a hard time tolerating any food.  My band should be completely unfilled, but I can barely make it through a can of soup without feeling like I ate 10lbs of food.  If I eat "real" food, anything more than 1/4 cup has me feeling so bloated and uncomfortable.   Which with having no fluid in my band, I shouldn't have any restriction at all... but I do.  So they are thinking I have a slip/erosing/intolerance for the band.

Any insight is greatly appreciated.  I basically want to start the pre-op asap as I'm so miserable with this stupid band.

Thanks again!

Sorry to hear you having a rough time.  It sure sounds uncomfortable, I hope Krause can figure it out for you soon!

My surgery was 2 years ago, so bear with me.  I believe my regime was  6 Protein shakes (that I bought through Dr. Doyles office) and 2 salads per day, the salads were as large as you wanted, but vege's only.  I don't remember if there were restrictions on the dressing, at the time I used to make my own with flax seed oil, balsamic vinegar and a good seasoning packet.

Good luck,

Edie
