OT: Not being able to buy clothes is killing me!
I have been buying used from ebay and good will. I was also lucky to get some hand me downs from my mom and aunt. I also have to admit I have bought new. I even hit up my 12 yo daughter's closet for her hoodies. I can't wait for rummage sale season to start to stock up on some clothes in different sizes. Most of the time those prices are even better than good will. Jimi
I totally understand. That is how its been for me the last several months. And realizing there is no point in even looking in the stores I normally shop cuz i will NEVER be there again. I see no reason to buy too much until i'm down to my goal if I can finagle that so hopefully by summer I will be getting new clothes again. Woo hoo!!! Hang in there!
Thats where my love of Salvation Army comes in handy. I keep buying cute clothes that are too small so I can lose enough (pre-op diet) to fit in them. Cheap and I look for labels and it doesn't matter much if I outgrow them, I can just re-donate them!
I'm new and my name is Kim........hi everyone!

I WAS a Fashion Bug FREAK! I would go at least once a month and buy clothes! They closed ours about two years ago so we have to drive about an hour away now.
I am almost three months out, down 71 pounds from my heaviest and almost 50 since my surgery. I just posted on ReUseIt for my 26-28 and 30/32 clothes. I bought three pairs of 22 and one pair of 18-20 pants and a 3X sweater at Goodwill on the 50% off day for $9! What a way to go! I bought 3 pair of 20s at SA but I am not quite ready for them.
I wore a 4-5X shirt and now in 3X. Feels awesome to think think that I am now littlier than I have been in over 5 years! Everyone I talked to said do thrift shops, GW or SA because you will be changing sizes every month or so.
I am keeping ONE pair or pants and ONE shirt of the big size so I can do the Biggest Loser clothes drop.
