I like clothes too.
But not buying any unless I absolutely have to at this point in the game.
*8 weeks and have exhausted all of my clothes that use to be to small.
from size 28W to a 22 W. I didn't want to buy any clothes either but my friends mom passed and I had to by something presentable for the wake.
Just got two new pair of jeans for Christmas from my kids. And I know that they will only fit for a few weeks. If That.
My shirts are lasting longer cause I like them baggie.
I cant wait to be a size 16 or less again. then I can shop in any store.
LOL - just don't do it!! Save your money for when you have your surgery and will be needing new clothes!! You'll have more fun shopping after surgery! I know I hated shopping before my surgery....I was a size 24 pants and a 3x top. Now I LOVE shopping almost 10 months later and down 141 lbs buying size 8 pants and medium tops :-)
Be careful after surgery - you know what they say about transfer adictions :-) Sounds like yours just might be shopping - LOL!

Hit Goal 4/2/2010
*** Buy ONE new outfit in the size you hope to get into. This will become your dream or goal outfit. My mom bought be a blouse the day I had my surgery and I fit into it when I was 5 months post-op - it was an exciting day!
*** Explore some thrift shops. My favorite is Goodwill in Bay City, but find which one you love the most. Watch for the 1/2 off sales and $1 sales then buy some cute stuff! My Goodwill always has new clothes with tags still on (from Meijer or Target - their clearance stuff that doesn't sell) -- so as I was dropping sizes like crazy I'd buy clothes in smaller sizes that I knew I'd get into eventually. Then when I got stuff home I'd pack them into boxes of like sizes.... size 14 box, size 16 box, size 18 box, etc. Then when I was ready for a new size clothes, I'd have a whole box of goodies waiting for me!
*** Do NOT buy new! At the beginning you're going to be dropping sizes VERY fast. I had clothes I was able to wear once or twice before they were too big for me. So don't waste your money on new clothes at retail prices. At Goodwill I can pick up great things for $1.65 when its half off or $1 when they have $1 Sundays.
Have fun! Go Shopping!

Have faith it will happen.....
I agree with the thrift stores....prior to surgery I would have never walked in to a Salvation Army (unless it was to donate!). Today at work I'm wearing my Talbot pants and Eddie Bauer sweater I bought at SA last year. The Talbot pants are my fav!

B, I like to shop for clothes also. It's been years since I was able to buy something I really liked. I'm looking forward to that.
Pam's idea of buying sizes you cannot wear yet was very interesting. I'll have to think about that.
