Well its Monday morning...back to work. Just finished a Cafe' Mocha and part of a sausage biscuit from Tim Hortons. It is colder than heck in this building. I have to say I am on the 3rd floor of our building and looking out over the pond it is a pretty scene...Kind of a Norman Rockwell scene. Ok, enough of the sentiment...give me warmth and sunshine.

QOTD: Any ideas for vacation this coming year?

Good Morning!
I am work this morning and have had my scrambled eggs already and soon on to water.  I have been way off track with my water and eating the last week so today it is back on track for me.

QOTD- I am planning a trip to Vegas in March with a co-worker *****cently lost her husband and is retiring in February.   I am hoping for a trip to Florida in the spring but those plans are not firm yet . . and I would love to go to Mexico with my kids in the fall . . but that may be just wishful thinking.

Enjoy the day!

Good Morning everyone!

I have eaten a Carmbaster yogurt and now sipping on some protein coffee.  wish I could have stayed in bed a little longer this moring. Coming back to work sucks after having 4 days off :-)   A lot of people here take the week off between Christmas & New Year's so it's like a ghost town but not me.  I work in accounting so it is year end close for me and I'll be working 12-15 hour days for the next three weeks.

QOTD:  I have a vacation planned for next August - my honeymoon :-)  We are planning a trip out west to see Yellowstone, the Redwood Forests, drive along the coast of California and whereever else we decide to stop at.

Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning All,

Strawberry protein shake for me.  Had a wonderful time over the holidays.  I too need to get back on track.  I enjoyed some home made cookies over Christmas.  Yesterday I packed up the rest and sent them to my dads house.

Nan I viited those places when I was a kid.  I really enjoyed them.  I have some really kool pictures from that trip.

QOTD: My vacation is the 4th of July.  We go to Harrison every year.  See  the demo derby and watch the fireworks.  I make smores with the kids and play cards and board games all week.  I also love the elephant ears at the derby.  Not sure if I dare this year.

Been there, done that Cheryl.  We camped up there and always did the big flea market too.  I bought a battery operated pink pig with wings that flies!  My dogs went nuts over it.  Ended up giving it to my FIL and he hung it from his ceiling fan in the kitchen.
It is what it is.

Good Morning all!

I'm at work today...first full day back.  I have this weird pain in my left side where the drain was, so I'm waiting for a call back from the docs office.

Drinking protein cider this morning in my new mug that I got for Christmas.

QOTD-No real plans.  My ex is moving to Chicago next week, so I am hoping we can go out there and have him watch the kids for a night.  WIshful thinking, but maybe it will actually happen this summer.

Hope you all have a good day!

Good morning all!

I knew the roads were going to suck this morning -- and I was right.  So I skipped my commuting protein chai tea and had a bowl of oatmeal before I left the house.  Having some coffee now but will have a chai tea in a little bit to get my protein in.

Just checked my calendar and realized I have a photography club meeting tomorrow night.  Guess I need to start thinking about my photo assignment, huh?  Thankfully the snow should be pretty this evening when I get home so I can try for something outside.

QOTD -- The last 2 years I've gone to FL in November as my annual vacation.  But this year I think I'm going to try something different ... maybe at the end of summer?  Maybe a roadtrip?  Thinking of Amish Country or Shipshawana or the World's Longest Yard Sale or just get in the car and drive and see where I end up?  Or maybe just go back to my old standby that I've missed the past few years -- camping for a week all alone in my parents RV - no phone, no computer, no internet?  Still contemplating.

Good Morning Michiganders and anybody else who chimes in.

Had a bowl of Cream of Wheat  this morning and now I am hitting some chocolate protein coffee. Time to change the drink its getting old. I am at a stand still again. Going to fling this dang scale out in the snow. Ever thing is coated with the white stuff and it looks kind of pretty.

Brenda when you go to The Windy, be sure to take your kids to the Science and Industry Museum, on Lake shore Dr. across from Navy Pier. It is amazing. everything is hands on and life sized. We have made a yearly trip there ever since my kids were 9 and 10 yrs old. Now, they are 21 and 23 and they still say "When are we going to Chicago?"  And there is Sheds Aquarium too.
But don't  go to the Planetarium it is over priced and boring. 75 dollars for 4 people and  all you do is set in a building and look at the twinkle lights on the ceiling. woo hoo!. Still fuming about that. LOL

QOTD: I will make a trip to Chicago, but for a visit to Mr Beef for that world famous Chicago Style Roast Beef Hogie, and then to Walk Navy Pier (after the Science and Industry Museum), for a bucket of Buba Gump peal n eat Shrimp. So good. (Brenda that is a fun place to go too. They have a real Forrest Gump that visits you at your table too. And man is he realistic too)
I kind of want to go to Vegas too, since I have not been there ever. And I have been wanting to check out AZ. I would like to see what their economy is like and the climate. I have been considering doing a winter home there. But have to do some investigation first.

Photo update.
Pam you will appreciate this. Thanks for your advice. Here is what I learned that I can do so far.

If you do AZ ask me, I have allot of suggestions....been to Vegas a few times too :)!  My biggest recommendation is don't go there June thru mid Sept., it gets to hot to enjoy the days, the nights are wonderful, but the older I get the earlier my bed time is LOL!
