Merry Christmas Eve, Michigan.
The ride to work was wonderful, almost no one is on the road.

QOTD-Are your ready for the big day tomorrow?
I made my last stop at Target last night and won't be home before the stores close, so I am as ready as I am going to get.  Stayed up til midnight last night putting bows and tags on packages.  This will be my first Christmas with Bob, so I am nervous about the whole gift exchange thing, but I guess I will find out how well he knows me.

Have a safe and happy holiday everyone!

Morning Everyone!!

I am eating a piece of banana walnut bread and drinking my tea this morning looking at the last little bits of snow that will go away today.

QOTD: I am ready for tomorrow. I have 3 small gift cards that I need to wrap up... Today DH and I are staying home and I am going to clean a little, bake some little pies, and then have a nice dinner together later on... Tomorrow morning I am making breakfast while we open our presents and then we will head to my inlaws... So it will be busy.

I hope everyone has a great christmas.

Brenda: so glad to hear your progressing well.
Pam: Good Luck with the job!

Good Morning everyone!

I've finished my protein coffee and am thinking about going down to the break room and refilling my mug...

QOTD:  My Christmas shopping is all done, and I had Christmas with my kids last weekend.

Tomorrow I will be alone so I've volunteered at a local church to help them with their annual Christmas dinner.

ok whose house am I coming over to so you can teach me hwo to make some palatable protein coffee???  yyeeaaa   That would be a great breakfast.

I have not had coffee yet this morning.  I cant seem to drink it black and I am concerned about the sugar I add to it.  I've been struggling to cut out the last of the sugar in my diet.  I kind of think I should not worry about it so much since I seem to be losing very well and I am certainly feeling better these days but ahh I dont know In my mind I'm always striving for some rediculous idea of perfection I guess.  I definately need to either stop taking my diabetic meds or something though because an hour after eating I am at 45 and passing out these days and its not that I'm not eating carbs because I am!  I still eat some bread, rice...shoot I even had 1 bite of a bad christmas cookie yesterday...I believe this is just me taking advantage of the fact that I am PRE OP obviously... and kind of in limbo in pre-op land. lol  Monday I will call about the medicaid thing I dont understand why I havent gotten anything in the mail yet this time. sooo frustrating.

I am not ready for tomorrow but I have 10 hours to get ready... lol yikes!  I need to cook some food for tomorrow, do tons of laundry, wrap some gifts, fill some stockings and practice my music for tonight.

Merry Christmas everyone!    I do count my blessings.  It's been a rough few years and I KNOW it could be worse so Im thankful it's not.

Ok, protein coffee is easy.  Just gotta follow the steps:

** add 1 scoop vanilla protein to the mug
** I add 1 splenda packet, you can too or skip it
** add a splash of cold water or milk (about 3-4 tablespoons)
** mix your heart out!  stir it really really good to get all the lumps out.  it'll be a thick liquid paste.
** add a bit of hot coffee and stir
** add a bit more hot coffee and stir
** keep stirring as you add more coffee.  it should be smooth with no lumps.

I guess I'm lucky.  Maybe my coffee pot doesn't make the coffee too hot.  All I do is put a scoop of Body Fortress Vanilla Protein powder (from WalMart) in the mug and add coffee.  It doesn't clump at all for me.  Then I may add some s/f caramel syrup.
It is what it is.
