Morning All

Coffee is sitting on my desk getting cold because I am swamped, but wanted to take a few minutes here.

My General Manager resiged as of 12/31, he told us yesterday that he has 6.5 days of vacation to use before he leaves.  4 days next week and 2.5 days this week, means he could leave today at noon.  I told him that wasn't fair, so he agreed to stay until Thursday at 2.

In the mean time, I have formally applied for the position.  I sent an email Friday telling them of my interested.  They requested that I formally apply yesterday.  I am suppose to hear from him in a couple of days.  Bad part in the Regional Manager goes on Vacation on 12/24 til 1/8 so even if he interviews me tomorrow, unless he has someone else handle salary negotiations.   Is it a bad thing to pray to get a promotion?

I appreciate everyones thoughts and best wishes yesterday.  I really needed it.

QOTD:  This will be my third winter, and I don't seem as bad this year as the first two.  I am also on a pain med that seams to elevate my body temp, so maybe that is what it is.

Hi Pam,

No, its not a bad thing to pray for a promotion.  Its for your family and you.  I sure hope you hear by the new year though.  Good Luck to you on your official interview :)

If it is OK to pray that you don't get a demotion then it is OK to pray for a promotion too.

We always ask the Lord to support us so we can do better or be better in life, so asking for help to get a promotion is just asking for the Lord to make you be better in your life.

Hope you get an answer soon.

Still working on a cup of coffee this AM.  Didn't drink the first one....fell asleep.  I'm SO glad I don't have to drive in the winter anymore.  I did 100 miles a day for 9 years.  Don't miss it one bit!  Unfortunately, hubby still drives 95 miles a day, so I still worry.  I'm waiting for Dub to wake up from his nap so I can run to the store.  We are doing board games (at my bro and SIL request) for the nephews and I need to find Candyland, Checkers and Chutes and Ladders.  Then I'm done.

QOTD:  I have no tolerance for cold, whether it's air conditioning, cold water or wind.  I freeze all the time, but I do have to say that it gets better over time.  I'm 4.5 years out and while I still get cold easily, I guess it has gotten better because I know how to deal with it.  When I was working, I kept a fleece jacket at work that I wore DAILY, even when it was warm b/c I didn't have control of the heat or A/C in my classroom. The last couple winters, the only way I could sleep was with a heated mattress pad.  I have a small one that I put under the sheet.  We might need to get a king size one for the whole bed because DH is finding that he is cold, which is completely unnatural for him.  We're pretty sure it's because of the blood thinners he is on.

My SIL tried to tell me that's why he got Croup....flu shots.  But he got shots on the 2nd and Croup on the 12th.  So, I don't think it was the shots.  He only had it one night.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A VERY VERY SAFE AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I had coffee and a flat grain thingy with pnut butter for breakfast.

Just had the same kind of flat multi grain thingy with ham and cheese for lunch.

QOTD: I am 7 yrs out and I still freeze. It gets worse at time for me too because I crave ice and eat a lot of ice. I freeze from inside out...hahahaha, it really irritates my husband me eating ice so much.

I sit by huge windows at work, so I am always covered with a blanket, fingerless gloves and my scarf...

well I always assumed it was age... with the cold!  yikes.  I am still over 300 pounds and will say the bigger I got the worse my circulation is so I am ALWAYS ALWAYS freeezing.  my hands and feet are like ice blocks all year round and it sucks.

Im drinking my coffee its NOON and I am jsut getting to it and I have no eaten yet which I am aware is BAD BAD BAD but the coffee fills me up and I am not feeling well.  I've had this sinus infection for over a week and Im sick of the headaches...it took me 5 days to realize that it was a sinus infection and now I am bumin because I have no insurance right now so I cant go get on antibiotics. blah

Today the kids and I are baking and decorating Christmas cookies ohhh it might be a high sugar day for me so Id better eat some protein or something.
