A quick google search: Augmentin is a penicillin antibiotic
http://www.drugs.com/augmentin.html
As far as I know, antibiotics are not anti-inflammatory drugs. Double check with the pharmacist (they know more about drugs than doctors do).
Just for reference sake, here's the list of medications we need to avoid:
---
Medications that can harm the pouch
Amigesic Darvon compounds Nayer
Anacin Disalcid Orudis
Anaprox Dolobid Oruval
Ansald Erythromycin Pamprin-IB
Anthra-G Equagesic Percodan

Ascriptin Fiorinal Rexolate
Aspirin Ibuprofin Tandearil
Asproject Indocin Tetracycline

Hi Linda.
I'm out of the loop a little bit. You mom is having surgery?
Blood thinning drugs are off limits before surgery, right? Then after drugs that are hard on the stomach. I don't remember augmentine on the list but if it has to be taken with food then I think it is off limits.
