Good Thursday Morning!
Waking up with a mug this morning? Just finished the usual brew. Eldest son should be home from Texas, today, for the Holidays. Glad he had safe travels....
Was fun reading everyone's posts, yesterday. Traditions can be so unique and full of memories!
QOTD-Do you have a special Holiday food that you prepare or partake only during Christmas? I just ordered a loaf of Zingerman's Stollen bread. We only have it on Christmas morning. It is the German fruit bread that is so traditional for those of German descent.. It is so much lighter (and healthier-I think) than the Lebkuchen cookies my Mother used to make. Also love Dutch banket (almond bar).

Good morning!  My usual coffee with protein.

QOTD:  Lutkins (probably spelled that wrong)  They're kinda like a waffle cone, but made into flat cookie shapes - delicious!

My ex-husband makes them and is experimenting with a WLS friendly version - I'm looking forward to seeing how they taste!  He made a WLS friendly cashew brittle for me - still had a ton of calories because of the cashews.  I told him not to make that again unless he could get the calories out - lol.  It was awesome.  I said I'd like to see the recipe with 1/4 of the cashews he used... I think it would be just as good.

Nah - we're just good friends - that's it.  That's pretty much all it was for us when we were married... so that's why we're not anymore.... but we still do things together - movies, dinner, etc.  Not a lot, just on occasion.  he will be coming over to my place Sat for Christmas with my kids and me.... He raised them for over 15 years - they're very close to him, so it works out for everyone.

Good Morning  !

Had my first cup of java and on the go, have to do my normal daily work, do laundry and wrap presents, hmmmm, how can one do that all at once....Can't.  Need to break it down.

QOTD: Oh my.  So many good foods.  One that is not a holiday food but my mother only does it once a year is make her famous Cinnamon rolls, mmmmm good.  My favorite desert is Plum Pudding that my mother makes with my Grandmother's recipe.  There are so many favorites but not able to eat only a bite of any of them, toooooooo sweet.  Oh well, nothing tastes as good as thin feels !

Have a great day !

Good morning!  Had my coffee this AM and some toast.  Have to figure out what protein I'm going to have.  Maybe some cheese sticks.  We'll see.

QOTD:  Don't really have any special foods that we only do at Christmas.  I take that back...I make a TON of cookies at Christmastime.  I used to make them so my hubby could give them to his employees as gifts, but that was back when he was in a MUCH smaller department Now, there are just too many, so I'll probably just make a big container for him to take to work to share.  Anyway, I make all the cookies my mom used to make at Christmastime....Russian tea-cakes, Chocolate Covered Cherry cookies, oatmeal raisin...etc.  It's about the only time I make any cookies, so I guess that has become a little tradition for me!
