Good Monday Morning to everyone!
What's waking you up this morning? Pretty soon it will be decaf and black coffee for me!
Four more days till my eldest son, Sean, will be home from the Air Force for Christmas. I think he is getting to like Texas a lot. His next station is in Alabama after the first of the year.
QOTD-How was your weekend? Had a weekend that flew by too quickly.. Tried to get baby Colin to see Santa Claus, but the line was way too long. Will try again today. Went to see an awesome production of the "Christmas Carol" last night. Very impressive!
Have a good one!

Hot Tea for me this a.m.  I love tea, I seem to get more fluids in if I drink it. I know it can block the absorption of iron if you drink to much but does anybody know how much is to much??

As for the QOTD:  I got into a huge fight with my 21 year old daughter.  I asked her to do me a favor and she told me to do it myself in some not so nice terms.  I tell you I seen 4 shades of red.  So I took care of it.  Then the next day she told me that if I was upset over yesterday that I had issues.  My first thought was who raised you?  Then I gave her a piece of my mind.  I have been so upset about this.  She has always been the "good kid".  Well that is my rant for the day.

QOTD  We went up home and joined the rest of the family to decorate cookies for the care facility where my mom was then took them out yesterday to pass out at snack time and had a couple of songs the kids were gonna sing for the residents.  Other residents family members quickly joined the program with songs dances poems and such learned for school church and dance programs.  it turned out to be quite a Christmas program for the residents at the home!  the  performers kept moving around to all three of the  gathering rooms where the residents were and good times were had by most!   It was a good day.    Missed My mom.  but I knew I would.
Have a good Monday everyone

All of my husbands side of the family lives in Texas.  We lived there 2 different times.  I liked it very much.  My oldest son was born there as well. He goes and visits his uncle every year.  When he graduates he plans on moving in with his uncle.    I don't know much about Alabama though.  Military life is good if you work the system. My dh family is all military, Army, Navy.  Dh looked so fine in that white sailor uniform.

I woke up at 6am, about 30 minutes before I needed to get out of bed.  So I got up to go potty and crawled back into the warm bed for a few minutes.  Oops!  I slept late and was woken up by the school busses driving by the house at 7:15am.  Ummm... I need to be walking out the door at 7:15.  So I rushed out the door and got to work a bit late.

QOTD - Saturday morning I lounged and relaxed.  Then in the evening met a friend for dinner and went to see Three Men and a Tenor (very good show!).  Then Sunday we had the first family Christmas celebration yesterday (there are a total of 3 between now and New Years).  Figured I'd indulge in a bit of naughtiness... but really, I made pretty good choices all around.  I had a slice of cherry cheesecake and 1 peanut butter ball cookie.  Otherwise it was all good protein-forward choices.

Slow going today, don't like Mondays much, it means back to work.  Having Hot Cocoa to warm the engines.

We had a great Sunday, DH cleaned the basement and family room, I did the office, Kitchen and even inside some of the cupboards (they were so unorganized).  My DH is not one to put things back where he got them from, I can never find anything, it really frustrates me because I got so used to things being in their place with my late DH and we know they are all different so this one is to the opposite extreme, he can find the stuff, I just can't.

Have a great Monday and keep warm !

Good morning.  I've been up since about 6:30.  Dub is feeling better, but still congested and coughing.  I've been trying to get this house a bit more organized.  There are lots of baby things that need a "place" to be stored when not in use.  I have a bad habit of leaving things out because they are just going to get used again, but with a stroller, high chair, a bouncy chair, an exersaucer chair, a swing, toys...well you get the picture...plus I have two pianos in my upstairs living room right now, one is a baby grand.  So it's getting crowded.  We were supposed to re-do our basement living room before the baby came but work and then hubby's stroke put all of that to a halt.  We are slowly getting things put away and organized.

QOTD:  My weekend was ok.  Dub was sick so that pretty much took all my time.  Hubby worked all weekend.  We went to my brother's house for my family Christmas, but that's about it.  I think I'm going to get my Christmas shopping done this week, what little I have to do.

QOTD: My week end was fine. no majors, Went to work out on Friday and then on Saturday was successful doing the weight machines. Also did the treadmill for 30 mins. Hubby is home for the week end and is in a melancholy moods listening to old music and talking about how we use to work together driving truck. I think he misses me.

Debora Glad your son will be home on leave. Where was he stationed before Alabama. If he a pilot?  My son is talking about enlisting in June or July.  Both of my children were in the AFJROTC in Hi school and many of there class mates enlisted and got sent to the  fight the dune goons.
