Fabulous Friday Wake-up
Jess,
I can understand how you feel about singing in a choir. I was very musical all through school and college. It was something I always missed. Last year, I joined a community symphony. It is so much fun!! I hadn't played my clarinet in YEARS so I was a little worried, but it's all coming back. We meet once a week (I have to drive 50 miles one way to practice!) and it just so happens to be directed by my high school band teacher. Since, it's a community based group, there is every caliber of musician. I love it and highly recommend getting involved in a choir! Hope you find a choir!

Good morning! Having my black starbucks, as usual. Just fed Dub some pureed pears and bananas. I love making the baby food! Today, I'm going to try steaming and pureeing some chicken for him. He can start having meat in a few weeks. I don't plan on going anywhere until later today, when my sis picks us up and we head to Hillsdale for the weekend. Tomorrow is our family christmas party. Dub and I went out in the wind and cold yesterday and that was enough for me (and him....he hates his winter coat!).
QOTD: Hmmmm....I can't really think of a favorite Christmas movie right now. Believe it or not, I've never seen "It's A Wonderful Life." I haven't purposely avoided it, just haven't ever sat down and watched it. I've seen bits and pieces but what I've seen wasn't compelling enough for me to sit and watch the whole thing. I'll have to think about this one!

Good Morning,
Very very chilly this morning. Missed the weather yesterday not sure what it is gonna be like today. My mom is taking me out to Commerce today so I can pick up a double stroller for my friend. When I get back I think it will be a stay in the house day. Drinking my crystal light this morning and have the morning vitamins done. QOTD - It's A Wonderful Life

Protein coffee again today. This seems to be the only thing I have in the morning anymore. I need to start making an effort to be better with my eating habits. I tried to get on the scale this morning, and just as I was stepping on, the battery died. Now I have to find a 9volt to replace it. Have you priced 9 volts lately? 7.99 for two. I need to get to Sams and drop the 20.00 on a pack of them. I'm afraid to get on the scale, because I haven't been diligent in watching my food intake. I seem to be doing a lot of grazing, and most of it in the evening. I know, that's bad.
We've got about a foot and a half of snow now, and its still snowing. Gary is out raking some of it off of the roof right now. I should get out there and do the driveway, but I just got out of the shower and my skin doesn't like the thought of bundling up and heading out into the cold. I think I'll wait a couple of hours!
QOTD: I love Miracle on 34th street, the original with Natalie Wood. I don't know if I've ever watched the entire It's a wonderful life movie either. I guess it just didn't keep my interest or something.
No baby yet. Hope he waits until next week, after the snowfall stops.

Good morning all!
Finals are done! Yippee!!! Glad to be on winter break for a month so I can enjoy Christmas. :-)
I screwed up my protein chai tea this morning (heating it in the microwave is a bad idea!) and didn't do well with the ratio on my coffee (too much steamed milk, not enough coffee). Good thing breakfast is coming soon... can't screw up yogurt much.
QOTD -- For years my parents would take the whole family to see the Singing Christmas Tree production in Midland. It's put on by one of the churches and it's basically a choir singing a cantata with actors doing a play between songs. I don't know if they still do it or not, but that was always a treat every year.

The scale can measure the weight of my body but never my worth as a woman. ~Lysa TerKeurst author of Made to Crave
Been up since 5:15 - but then I love getting up early, so it's ok!
Had decaf green tea while riding the recumbent bike for 30 minutes. I've done really well getting off bad carbs this week and the scales keep going down - hurrah.
QOTD: I love all three of the versions of "A Christmas Carol" and watch them every year....I've never watched "A Wonderful Life" all the way through either -- don't know why....Love White Christmas too with Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye.
Back to work ....

Done! Your Ticker:
I have a video of 1913 Adolph Zukor's Scrooge the Charles Dicken's Classic.
Sir Seymour Hicks stars as Ebeneser Scrooge, and Donald Calthrop is Bob Crachit.
it is in black and white. It was probably the first version to hit the boob tube in the late 50's. I remember watching this as a young child and being scared to death by the gost of Marley and his chains.
