Hi Pam,

My son has to wear braces, has since he's been around umm zero.  He was born with bilateral club feet.  The braces they have these days are awesome, they are form fitting to their little feets. They do a mold of the foot and send it to a manufacturer.  they are open in the front with velco straps to hold them on.  they come in cool colors too!  and they fit in normal shoes, maybe one size bigger than he would normally wear.  no sweat!

ETA: please please see an orthopedic surgeon for this, it will effect the rest of his life if his feet arent fixed correctly!

Thanks B

As always your terrific support and help.

Ok, one size larger?  He already wears a size 4 shoe.  Why do I think we will be special ordering shoes for this boy before high school?  His dad wears a 14.

I am sorry I didn't listen to my instincts and push harder on this when he was younger.

My son wears a half size larger than his normal shoe size.  I dont think it will be a big deal, specially if its just at night.  he wont be wearing shoes in bed, will he ;)   He may have to wear a Brown Bar that is a pc of metal thats about 8"which connects the two feet together and keeps them straight and flat.

not sure, thats why an ortho is the best.  in case the ligaments in his calves are too tight or something, im not sure, but their are so many treatments for this, its very common now.

Just had my normal 2 cups of coffee (with caffine).  Its now 10:09 and I have already been here at work for 3 hours.  Ready to go already.

For Christmas I wanted a treadmill and I got that for myself last Friday.  So far Im only on it about 10 minutes at a time but I know I will get more endurance as time goes on.

My biggest Christmas wish is that all  my kids and their families would all get together at the same time.  Dang, this empty nest syndrome is nasty.  Just one day, I would love ALL of us to get together.

Love your pic Deb.  What a cutie.
Coffee w/vanilla protein powder this morning, a banana and a handful of pistachios.  Nice breakfast eh?
Nan, you should look on Craigs list for the hot rollers if you don't get them for Christmas.
A couple of Jehovah's Witnesses were at my door this morning.  I'll listen to them, but they don't need to convince me of anything.  Gary is in the garage organizing and cleaning his motorcycle.  I'm here on the computer.  We're having trouble with both computers.  They don't want to connect, and take forever, and I mean forever.  I did a disk cleanup and defrag on both of them this morning, but it hasn't helped.  Don't know what the deal is.  I sure hope Gary didn't open something with a virus.  When I get my Windows 7 disk, I'll take the new computer to Best Buy and have them  load it.  Then when they try to work with it if there's something wrong, they'll find it.  A method to my madness.
They're still calling for 10" of snow by Thursday.  I'd be totally fine with it if I didn't have to drive downstate sometime soon.
Has anyone tried the Debbie Meyers green bags and boxes?  I love them.  I've got clementines, bananas and lettuce in the boxes right now.  They really work well.  I buy shredded lettuce at GFS and put it in a large box.  It lasts a really long time and I can have salad at the snap of a finger...just like magic.
QOTD:  There really isn't anything materialistic that I want or need from Santa.  I'd just like to have a healthy holiday season and new year for all.
It is what it is.
If He brings you to it, He'll bring you through it...

Jan - I love buying the shreded lettuce from GFS but it always goes bad before I can use it all - even before I had surgery.  But it makes salad making so easy!!  I'll have to try those Debbie Meyers bags & boxes!

Love the bags, will have to look for the boxes.  The bread bags are great.

Good Morning Everyone,
The colder it gets the slower I move. Brrrr I am so not looking forward to what is coming, but I know we have to deal with this for spring to come.  Crystal light this morning taking the first round of vitamins.  QOTD - Everyone to be happy and healthy.  I would also like an external 2 TB harddrive
