The prayers worked!

Not that I'm surprised, but the prayers that you all sent up worked.  Gary's heart cath came out really well.  Dr. says his heart is strong.  He'll be coming home on Thursday.  Now, what's causing the shortness of breath and chest pressure?  Dr. Jani says anxiety.  He just retired one month ago, and I'm thinking maybe he's secretly anxious about the whole thing.
The cat scan they did when we got to ER ended up showing a nodule on his lung.  Now we've got to get him in for a PET scan.  It's a small nodule, only 9mm, so hopefully if it is cancer, they'll be able to remove it in total.  We think the PET scan will be scheduled for next week sometime.
Still waiting for grandson Joshua to arrive.  Thank goodness he had the decency not to come this week so far and set us into a tailspin.
I'm really tired because I didn't get to sleep until 4am this morning, slept for 3 hours then back up and headed for the hospital.  I told Gary I was sleeping in tomorrow and I'd probably be to the hospital around noon.  He said fine, because he was going to take a sleeping pill tonight to get some sleep too.
Thanks again for all the prayers and good thoughts.  Keep them coming please.

Glad to hear the cath was clean .   Hope the pet is too.  I've got some nodules in my lungs, they've been doing all kinds of tests for the past 9 months....I am getting sick of all of it, I've had so many scans I should glow enough for you to see me from up there!  Hopefully he gets answers sooner, easier and with better results than I have.

Jani

My FIL had nodules in his lungs and they were determined to be a form of Arthritis. They are common with rheumatoid arthritis

I am glad the cath went OK. And we will keep praying for you two until we hear he is all good.

Glad to hear the cath went well.  Maybe you should jump in bed with him at the hospital and get some sleep.
