A big thanks for the info on the DXA and osteoporosis. I have printed the info and will bring it to my doc. I think I will have my PCP pursue the info instead of the OBGYN. I see him more often than her....

Thanks again...

Glad I could help.

But while you're printing stuff for your doctor... here's a couple more:

ASMBS Bariatric Nutrition Guidelines (this covers labs required, supplements recommended and medication considerations for each different surgery type).  My PCP has 13 other bariatric patients and last time I was in to see him, he said he used this document for the treatment of everyone on his patient list who has had surgery.

Medication Considerations after Gastric Bypass -- I think I linked to this already, but worth repeating that doctors need to know this information too.

Nutrient Deficiencies -- this one you don't need to take to the doc if you don't want, but I use this one ALL the time.  It lists all vitamins and minerals and what the signs and symptoms are of deficiencies... plus the foods that contain high levels of those vitamins.  Great resource to have handy.

My Recipe Index is packed full of yumminess!
