Question about Protien Powders

Hi there.  I am seeing that many people are adding their protein in with different things, like coffee and yogurt.  Can someone tell me how much of the protein powder you are mixing with these things?  That is one thing that I struggle with terribly is getting my daily amount of protein in and if I can mix it with things like that it will help a lot.
Thanks a bunch!!
Michele

I use the GNC unflavored 100% whey protein powder. 21grams of protein per scoop. I add a full scoop to my Kroger brand CarbMaster yogurt which has 12 grams protein per container. So for breakfast I get 33 grams of protein! This has really helped my protein intake. I also add a full scoop to any soup that I have for lunch!

In the beginning everything I tried to mix in protein powder made me gag.   I'm 2 years out and  I still drink protein shakes (usually breakfast during the week... easy to carry with me on the way to work).  I use LF silk (choc) 5grms of protein, protein powder 1 scoop 18 grms (look for pre digested whey) and fz fruit (about 1/3 c), then just blend it up.  So I get about 23 grams of protein per shake, do that 3 x's a day and you've got 69 grams of protein a day!  And they are pretty tasty, I'd be careful of fruit w/ seeds this early out....stick to blueberries.  FYI, I used silk because allot of people had problems with lactose after surgery, so I went straight to soy so I didn't have to worry about that.

Good luck,

Edie

Michele,
I buy vanilla and chocolate Body Fortress protein powder at Walmart.  In the morning I put a whole scoop in my coffee mug and then add hot coffee.  I've had absolutely no trouble with lumping at all.  I do the same with the chai protein tea mixture and the protein cider.  No lumping with the Body Fortress brand.  One time I tried another protein powder and did have trouble with the lumping.  I also put the chocolate powder in with my coffee on occasion, but mostly use the vanilla, in fact, I'm drinking protein coffee right now.  It's my everymorning habit.  26 grams of protein in every scoop.  I bought some unflavored protein (Beneprotein) and couldn't stand the taste.  Yes, it did have a taste unfortunately.
