Good Morning Fellow MI. Losers

I am having some Alpine SF cider with vanilla protein powder mixed in.
I make a slurry out of the protein powder with some cold water then I add the ho****er to it, so lumps do not form.

"What's in Your cup?"

Something to ponder:

Think You're Too Heavy to Exercise?

These obstacles are not just obstacles to exercise—they are the same challenges that stand between you and the life you want for yourself.

1.One of the biggest mistakes people commit is making assumptions about what they can’t do without checking with someone who knows how to determine that.
2.You just can’t seem to find a good place to start.

 Priority #1: Safety
Sort out what really can’t be done (or changed) from what can. That begins with a visit to the doctor, to get a medically approved exercise prescription, telling you what you can and can’t do.
If the advice you get is too vague or general to be helpful to you, go see a certified personal trainer. Get a fitness plan that you can take back to your doctor for approval or modification. Between these two sources, you should get ideas to start safely.

Priority #2: Find Something That Fits YOU
If you get down on the floor, you may not be able to get up again by yourself  and your body just dosen't’t bend or let you get into the positions illustrated. You’ve been to the gym, but you don’t even fit into half the machines there, and you felt like you were going to throw up after two minutes on the elliptical machine.  You’ve tried walking around the neighborhood, but you had to quit after a couple of minutes because your feet were sore or you got cramps in your legs.
Almost every exercise can be modified so you can do it in a way that meets your needs and present capacities. For example:
The main idea is to start where you are right now, and adapt exercises to your needs and capacities, instead of trying  to use exercises that aren’t right for you at this stage. With a little research and by asking questions, you’ll find that plenty of very effective alternatives to traditional exercises are  available.

  • Chair exercises allow you to do many strength and stretching exercises that otherwise would have to be done on the floor or standing. This allows you to get through a whole routine that would have left you exhausted or worse if you were standing up the whole time.

  • You can take a water aerobics classes and/or do your walking in a swimming pool (with plenty of other people who aren’t exactly fond of wearing swimsuits), or you can use a walker.

QOTD:  What will you do to get moving?

I am going to schedule a time of day that is just for me and that is when I will exercise.
I will be out to lunch to everyone elses needs and wants during that hour of the day.

Have a Supper Sunday every one~

Good morning Mary and everyone to follow.  I was up early due to a headache had to sit up on the couch for a bit after the tylenol extra strength.  But it is better now. Waiting for the coffee to finish brewing smells delicious.  I came home with a Ford Explorer ladies.  Seven passenger V8 with 4 wheel drive.  Big enough for the children and their friends and mom got her truck .  I am happy about that.  Mary its funny you asked this question today.  I have rally been neglecting my exercise.  Thanks for reminding me I am accountable. I will also set aside an hour every day to me and only me to hit the gym or walk my treadmill or ride my bike or something to get moving again so the scale may move again.  Off to work in a few hours.  Have a great day everyone!!!!!

If you guys (not anyone specific, just in general) would stop shopping at Wal Mart you'd really be supporting the unions and American companies.  You can't say 'Buy American' and then give all of your money to an anti-union store that gets whatever products it can from China or lowballs the American companies so they can't pay their workers a decent wage.

Ok, had to get that off my chest.  Thanks :)

I agree about the Wal-mart too.

They have put the Mom and Pop stores out of business across America.

Mary,
Can you tell me what RTD protein shake you said you found at Vitamin Shoppe?  I need some premixed canned stuff, but I don't really like fruit flavors.
Thanks!

It was in the cooler aera. When you go into the store it is on the right side.
That one taste ok but the ones in the clear glass bottle tasted like watered down fruit juice.

they had muscle milk and a few others too. but I didn't pay a lot of attention to those I was looking for the nectar.
