Good Morning everyone!
We made it through Thanksgiving and now it's shopping frenzy Friday! Are you online this morning or standing in line. I'd rather sleep than deal with the crazies. Are you having your morning mug? Not yet, for me.
Did you have an awesome day yesterday? I did. Really busy 'caus I did all the cooking. Wonderful, because we were all together.
QOTD-In the spirit of Black Friday, what is your most annoying shopping thing? Mine is when someone is ahead of you in line at the grocery store and has a huge order. They wait till the very last to fumble through their purse to get their checkbook and then write the check way after the cashier is done. My other is stores having self checkout and not giving atleast a tad of a discount for customers using it. We are saving them money, aren't we?
Have a good one!

Since there's two threads this morning... I'll play along with both.

It was a good Thanksgiving yesterday (for a change).  No major drama and the food was good, interesting and different than normal.  (Meaning, nobody brought a bag of potato chips as their dish to pass this year.)  I samples almost everything and enjoyed a few hours of "food freedom".   Unfortunately, an hour after the small slice of lemon merginue pie, my blood sugar crashed and I had to scrounge for more food (cheese and crackers).

QOTD -- Whiny Kids are my pet peeve in the stores.  I remember when we were kids and if we didn't behave in the store, we got sent to the car as punishment.  Guess parents don't do that anymore, huh?  LOL!  Instead the kids whines and cries while dragging their feet behind the parents... and the parents whine and yell at the kids for being grumpy.  Drives me nuts!

After working at Walmart for 8 years and being on the "other side" of Black Friday, I avoid the stores as a shopper now.  I did get online last night and buy the few things that I wanted (did you know that 95% of items are available on the store's website so you don't have to fight the crowds??).  Then the few other things I wanted were added to my mom's list to pick up if she had the chance.  So no shopping for me today!

We do! In regards to you answer of the QOTD - I have taken Sean to the car many of times.  Duane finishes his shopping, and then I go back in.  One thing Sean hates worse that not getting what he wants, is sitting in the car twice as long.  I always make sure I waste time if I have to go back in because he was misbehaving.

Being on the "other side" does give you prespective to Black Friday.  As the day goes, we just keep getting busier here.  Normally by this time, crowds have died down.  One store just told us their customer count is down 20% from last year, but sales volumes are up 24%, so less shoppers are spending more.

My son wanted me to stand in line at Babies R Us to pick up a glider that was $100 off.  I told him he could go stand in line like we used to.  He got his FIL to do it.  What a good man...
Gary went in to shop this morning and came home with a 32" TV.  It's not the one I wanted, but his reply to me was, then take it back and get what you want.  No way am I venturing out on Black Friday.
QOTD:  The most annoying thing for me is impatient people.  They should know, if you're shopping on Black Friday you're going to encounter crouds.  Just strike up a conversation with someone else in line and make the best of it.

It is what it is.
If He brings you to it, He'll bring you through it...

Hi everyone,
I can't tell if Pam and Deb posted the same thing or not.  I haven't had a chance to read everyone's answers yet.

Happy Thanksgiving, one day late!  I'm drinking my leftover Starbucks tea from yesterday.  I don't really like turkey dinner that much, so I don't eat a lot of leftovers....I am having a staring contest with the stuffing though.

QOTD-Since I shop so much, I have tons of peeves. The biggest, and the one that causes me to lose my temper every single Saturday at Meijer is when people stop in the isle, and leave their cart all skewed, and proceed to either talk to someone they know, or scream at their kids, or just stand there looking stupid, all while blocking everyone from walking.  I just can't help myself from saying something when the same person does this more than 3 times to me.

I did go online  yesterday and got a good deal on a digital camera for my son for Christmas, so that was good.  Today is all about me, the couch, and the DVR!

Hope you all have a good day.

I like the ones who block the isle and are alone but look up at you waiting to pass them and just go right about what they were doing as if to say too bad I was here first.

just wanna smack them.

First year I havent gone out on Black Friday...ask Tina how I go "pamida on people"  lol  People who cut in line tick me off....last year I told off a 90 yr old lady who just strolled up as we all waited in line over an hour....I respect old people but if she is able enough to shop on black friday alone- she is able to wait like the rest of us do.
