Good Morning All,

I have been up since 3 a.m and have been at work since 4:30.  We are now (7ish) just getting busy at the mall.

My coffee is long gone, and just having some scrambled eggs and whole grain toast.  I think I will be needing some extra coffee in a while.  Tiredness is starting to hit me along with a nice headache.

So how did everyone do with Thanksgiving yesterday.  We had prime rib, baked sweet potatoes, salad, corn on the cob, rolls and pies for dessert.    Everyone had shared duties including my 6 year old who is in charge of cresent rolls.  He loves to roll them and watch them bake.  Of course they are the most delicious thing on the menu.   My hubby did the prime rib and did himself proud.  I ate in moderation and didn't over stuff myself.  We were all content with our meal.  I did miss turkey, but I am going to buy some turkey breast slices and we will have them over the weekend.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Pam

Happy Left over day everyone.
Got some Alpine spiced SF cider in my cup. And DH and FIL are at the table finishing up the apple pie and pumpkin. What a Breakfast.

QOTD: We went to Zenders and had the all you can eat Chicken or Turkey dinner. I had a dab of squash, sweet potato's, mashed potato's w/ a dot of gravy, cran relish, stuffing, two noodles n butter, liver Pate with hard garlic bread, And 1 oz of turkey breast. Then when I got home I had a sliver of apple pie. I did get all my protein in and my liquids too. So when I logged my food I just hit 600 cals for the whole day. We brought home a bunch of left overs and I had the Kroger cooked turkey for more left overs so the family could have plenty today. And they do.
I never felt stuffed so I know I did Good with my little dots of food on my plate. My FIL said he could see all the weight I had lost and that was nice of him.
I had a good laugh when my FIL said (get this as he was stuffing his face on his second refill) "I don't eat as much as Mary does any more. " My DH just looked at me and rolled his eyes cause he knew just what I was thinking. Mary thinking(in your dreams old man) LOL. We humor him cause he is old.
The Kids were happy to have our family tradition too.

On the good news side I went from a size 14 undies to a size 10 LOL

Hot turkey sandwiches today everyone. smothered in gravy!
Turkey salad tomorrow.
Turkey pot pie the day after that.
Then the dogs get a feast.
Have a happy Black Friday and Be safe

Sitting here having my first cup of coffee and thinking of what we are going to do today.  You know what, I think today will be harder then yesterday.  Today in my mind I want to reward myself for being so good yesterday.  Anybody else think about that, hmmmmm.  I think more damage is done after the holiday then on it since nobody is there but me to see what I do.  I guess I will tattle on myself so I can't do it.  Sure, so here is my plan for the day (we planned yesterday, better plan today so I am good).

B - Yogurt
S - Protein Drink
L - 1/2 a Turkey sandwich, yes only 1/2 with Wheat bread
s - Protein Drink
D - Guess what ! ! !   Turkey again, LOL gotta luv those leftovers, along with baked sweet potato

Good morning all!

Last night I slept at my parents' house so they could leave to go shopping at 4am -- I stayed at the house with Grandma and got her up this morning at a reasonable hour.  The respite nurse came in around 9:00 and I came home.

I grabbed a SF FF Latte from McDonald's on the drive home.  I'll have some breakfast in a bit.

Yesterday's Thanksgiving was surprisingly drama free.  My one cousin with the 4 boys arrived late (after hitting the in-laws first, apparently)... so it was pretty quiet for most of the day.  Of course, the arrival of 4 boys to merge with the other kids suddenly raised the volume several notches.  The food was good and I ate tastes and bites of almost everything.  I skipped the stuff I had not interest in (mashed potatoes, stuffing, breads, etc.) - but has a bit of everything else.  Unfortunately the turkey was very dry, so I didn't do well with protein.  Which resulted in a hypoglycemic crash not long after dinner - fun stuff.

Plan to tackle school work today.  I'm way behind on my independent study class and we're meeting again on Monday, so I need to get caught up with about 4 weeks worth of stuff I've procrastinated on.

Have a good day all!
Pam

I did good yesterday.  The brined chicken was wonderful.  Didn't make any stuffing because that's definately my down fall.  I would eat a whole plate of stuffing and leave everything else if I could.  I missed it, but I'll survive.  Had some chicken, 1/2 a baked sweet potato, some s/f cranberry sauce (thanks Edie...loved it, added dried cherries to it along with the pineapple) and green bean casserole.  Didn't eat much at dinner, because when I started I was hungry and ate the chicken a little too fast.  I had to stop because I felt the lump in my chest.  I kept everything down, and then had chicken later.  We ate an early dinner, because I don't like to eat heavy at my evening meal anymore.
I'm still losing slowly.  My BMI is now under 30...yet another WOW Moment for me!!
Life is good and I am thankful.
Blessings to all.
