Wednesday's What's in your cup thing

I was running late this morning.  Normally I turn the teapot on and have water boiling for when I'm ready to make my chai tea.  But I didn't do that this morning, figuring I'd only have time to grab a protein .... but when I went to grab a bar, there were none.  In the back of my mind I just thought: "I'll grab McD's on the way".  But I quickly dismissed that notion and decided to be even more late and make a protein fruit smoothie.  It was very filling and pretty darned delicious.  I used to make those everyday before my chai tea era... I forgot how much I enjoyed them.

QOTD -- I don't like watching football on TV, and I'm not an NFL fan.  If I'm going to watch football (which I do love) I want to do it in person.  So I won't pay attention to the Lions/Packers game tomorrow.  I'll watch the parades though.

My Recipe Index is packed full of yumminess!

Morning Michiganders --- Happy Turkey Day to all!

I've had green decaf tea at home, my w/c oatmeal,  and a cup of reg. coffee with s/f carmel vanilla creamer in it here at work.   Starting on my bottle of water now.   Someone brought in a pumpkin roll to the breakroom -- I'm NOT going there.

Have part of my dinner made and in the refrigerator, this afternoon I have a hair cut and eyebrow wax at 2 -- dang why did I schedule it the day before Tksgvg.  Then home to get the crustless pumpkin pie made, the brine for the turkey, and the cranberry conserve  with splenda.  So I am pretty good to go tomorrow with just green bean casserole, the turkey of course, stove top stuffing (don't want leftovers) and reheat the mashed potato casserole.  Fix a small veggie tray with low-fat dip.
Made a shrimp dip yesterday - ummm good!

I don't give a hoot about football --- sorry, football fans.  If there were a golf match on I'd be watching that.

Better get back to work now....safe travel to those on the roads, and everyone else remember moderation is the key!!!

Morning all

Coffee is upsetting my tummy again today.  Doing some protien hot cocoa, hmmmmmmm yummy.

Anyone besides me not having turkey tomorrow?  My hubby wanted Prime Rib, baked potatoes and salad, and he is cooking, so who am I to argue?  My MIL really wants turkey, so she may go to my SIL for a while or they will bring her a plate for supper.  I have to be in bed early, to be up at 3 am, to be to work at 4:30 a.m. Friday.  Yeck.  But I do get to go home at 1 p.m.   I have to work every Saturday not until Christmas.  Early morings, six day work weeks, and I wonder why I don't enjoy the holidays anymore.

No Lions for me.  Don't do football.

Hello, joining all you nice Michiganders!  You are all so nice !  Love it !

Yes, I will be watching the Lions tomorrow, still have to root for the home team no matter how good or bad.  Maybe they will surprise us all.

Sat through the rain last night and watched Western get kicked by Ball State, was very sad for the local team.  Not good for the last home game of the year !

Spending a quiet day with my DH, had family celebration last Sunday at daughters.  Tomorrow still cooking turkey, DH wants leftovers so we will be eating turkey for weeks ! ! !  LOL  good thing it can be frozen afterwards.

I had a Lions joke but can't find it, oh well.  Loved all the ones the rest of you had !

Good Afternoon All,

I have not been feeling well last couple of days.  I don't think I have anything I think I am just run down and not drinking enough fluids.  I stayed home from work today.  Felt bad to do it but have to take care of me.

I made pies today.  2 pecan and 1 apple and berry.  Never made the apple berry one before.  I seen it on Martha Stewart.  Looks very yummy, I may eat some of the insides tomorrow.

As for as the Lions go---My DLH grew up in Green Bay.  So my family eats, sleeps and breaths Packers.  I even have the G tattooed on my shoulder.
