I agree. I wish I had stayed and gone to the meeting. I stopped at Shelly's on my way back home (north) and had intended to stay for the meeting, but I had such a horrible headache I just wanted to get home and relax. Don't ya know by the time I got back home here my headache was almost gone. I should have just stayed and laid down at Shelly's until meeting time.
If you ever have it at Shelly's (I know she has offered) I'll be sure to drive down and attend. Can't wait to see you all again. It's been since before my surgery. I don't know if you'd recognize me! I'm so lucky...
Blessings to you all.

Hey, speaking of Christmas music. My boss just sent me this link. She said "It's going to be this year's #1 Christmas song"

Good morning all -
I started my day with an elevator ride to my office with a man that was very handsome and smelled so good! Don't you just love it when a man wears the right cologne? Yummm...
QOTD - My grandmother always bakes at Christmas. A million different kinds of cookies and candies and "trailmixes". She used to start early (around Thanksgiving) and then freeze everything until Christmas time. As she's aged, someone has to help her bake and now that she's living with my mom, I know that Mom is already buying baking ingredients for the big bake-fest. I'm hoping to get in on the action this year. A few years ago I made Grandma a Christmas Baking Recipe box (see it here). I went through her old cookbooks and recipe cards and typed them all up onto fresh cards for her box - so she has all my favorites in one spot. Church Window cookies and her Cream Sandwich Cookies are among my favorites.
One tradition that I hated while I was growing up... but now want to keep alive for future generations --- Grapefruit on Christmas morning. My great grandmother, as a girl, had this tradition and it's been passed through the generations. Nothing special really -- just that you eat grapefruit for breakfast on Christmas morning. I don't really like grapefruit, but I'll eat it once a year to keep the tradition alive.

Good morning, Mary. Michigan must be moving slowly today. I am done with the coffee and at my desk at work, getting ready to get out there and start the day.
QOTD: Rain Drops on Roses These are a few of my favorite things. What are your favorite Holiday things?
I love the lights, packages, gatherings, all of it. I really enjoy giving my daughter presents, although she usually returns most of what I buy. My big stressor this year is the new boyfriend-I don't have a clue what to buy him. He has no hobbies, wears a 2X Tall shirt with a 19 inch neck and is a slob so clothes are out. Any suggestions?

Good morning! The sun is shining, making for a beautiful morning! Today is my 19th wedding anniversary, so Dub and I are just hanging out at home til hubby gets home....maybe make a quick trip to the store later.
QOTD: Going to the Christmas Eve service at the church back home that I grew up going to (and got married in). They have the best candlelight service and at the end, everyone circles the sanctuary, the lights go off and we sing Silent Night by candlelight. I always cry....it's very touching. That is a tradition I would like to continue with Dub. Hubby and I never really got into Christmas. We don't put up a tree and don't really exchange gifts. We usually pick one thing we both want and that's what we do for Christmas. I'm sure things will change when Dub is a little older. I have already noticed that we are talking about what to get him for Christmas...LOL! He'll only be 7 months old at Christmas this year, so next year should really be fun!
