Good Morning Michiganders

Well don't know where Deb or Danielle are this morning. So, I will give it a try.

Got my cup of Celestrial Season tea. and planning to have breakfast soon.
The dog took off on his leash yesterday and pulled me off my feet. I plan on resting my knee for the day. Thanks Diesel. You never know when this crazy guy will take off. He always catches me off guard.

QOTD: Rain Drops on Roses These are a few of my favorite things. What are your favorite Holiday things? Do you have a favorite Holiday tradition.

QOTD: I love the first snow of the season, after that it can go away. I like to hear Christmas music on the radio. And I like to watch the faces on little kids when they look at the Christmas Tree trying to find the biggest Candy cane. We have a broken Christmas mouse that we hide somewhere that if discover the next guy must hide him again. Who ever gets stuck with him on Christmas day is the first to open a gift.

Have a bouncy beautiful day. Be safe!

Good Morning all!  I woke up with the same pains that I had yesterday. Decided to eat some of my SF pudding for breakfast with my son and do my vitamin routine. About 15 minutes after eating, the pains were gone. Very weird.
Today is my first post-op appt this afternoon.  I haven't gotten on the scale in 3 days. Waiting to see what it says at the doctors office!
I also decided to be selfish and take my full 2 weeks off work. I figure, why not. I deserve it! I'm feeling better every day and want to tackle some things around the house.
I also love the first snow fall. Just so beautiful. We will be on Ft. Meyers Beach this year for Christmas morning and I just can't even imagine walking out to stand on the sands of the ocean on Christmas morning!! I might fall in love with it and have to go back every year for Christmas! I'm looking forward to NOT putting up a tree or decorations this year! We've had some major family issues for the past 6 months with all my sisters and my parents, so the vacation is well needed. Some more time for us to heal hopefully!
Well off to get some laundry done that I've been lazy with all week!!  Have a great day all!! I'll keep you posted on my 2 week post op check!!

Well, it's been a few years, and I don't remember the names of any place that we ate...LOL!  But there were some really good restaurants.  Where are you staying?  We stayed at Carlos Pointe Condos.  It was on a private beach and was at the residential end of the island.  The hotels and restaurants are at the other end, by the public parts of the beach.  There are lots of shops to wander in.  Honestly, we didn't do a whole lot while we there.  We hung on the beach all day (or the pool), went out for dinner at night and walked around.  When we go on vacation, we tend to do as little as possible!

I lived in Ft Meyers fl for 8 yrs in the late 80's. Hope you have fun. If you get the opportunity check out Sanibel Island and Pine Island they are not far form there. When I lived there I was on of the first cooks hired when they built the Bob Evens on Old 41 in N. FT. Myers. I live 3 blocks from the Caloosahatchie. I also worked at a Yacht building place right in Ft. Myers. My children were both born at Lee memorial Hospital.

Hope you have a great vacation.
I fixed the HFH_Losers group if you want to try again.

Good Morning Mary and all to follow,

I have had breakfast already.  I will start drinking my water soon.  Had support group meeting last night with Pam T. . . it's to bad not everyone can be there at her meetings she does such a great job. . .makes you think a lot when you leave the meeting about why we chose the path that we did, having the surgery.

QOTD - I Love, Love Christmas music . . I sing like a crazy women my kids say that is the best part of Christmas for them . . seeing there mom singing and festive for 6 weeks.  Now that I am a grandmother Christmas has a whole new meaning. .  it is like being with my children all over again when they were small . . . when my kids were little we always had a Birthday Party for baby Jesus on Christmas Day and they would make a cake on Christmas Eve Day and decorate it . . .  we have continued that with my grand-daughter . . I don't want them to loose site of the purpose of the day . . it's not about Santa.

Enjoy your day,

You are the absolute best leader around!!!!  Not that I go to any other support groups (LOL) but you seriously bring so much knowledge and expertise to the group!!  I just wish all of our Michigan OH friends could join us for your monthly meetings!!

Yes, Ruthann is doing much better.  She's down 137lbs so far and is looking great!  Her granddaughter came to the meeting last night (the one working on her RN degree) so she could see what we were all about -- apparently Ruthann wont' shut up about us to her family.  LOL!

Thanks for always being my cheerleader.  You guys are the best!  So if you're going to add your .02... I think that means that you get to do the homework from last night's meeting too.  I'll forward you the email, but here's the gyst:

Set ONE small goal for the coming month.  It can be anything you're currently struggling with and need to work on.  Then at next month's meeting, we'll report in on how we did.
