Great Day in Michigan.  Does that sound exciting enough?
Went to my GYN (I'm downstate right now) this morning to sign papers to have my records transferred up north.  The Dr. I want to see up north said I had to have my Dr. down here call up there to make me an appointment, then I could see her.  I explained this to the nurse and she said she had never heard of such a thing, but would make the call and get me the appointment and then call me back.  Still haven't heard from her and it's been 2.5 hours.  I usually do things right away so I don't forget or have something lurking over my head.

QOTD~ I'm excited because I get to go play poker with my old work buddies today.  We get together once a month and have snacks, dinner and play cards.  We rotate houses.  I don't know if they'll come up to my place or not, probably not, but it would be fun.  We've been playing cards together for about 20 years.  Fun group.  Just hubby and I for thanksgiving this year so I'll probably get a roasted chicken from Sam's Club, make some mashed potatoes and have some cranberry sauce, if I can find low sugar stuff.  Anyone know if they make that?

Prayers for Mandy today and anyone else that needs them.

So you've got a male friend eh Kristi????  :)

I make my own cranberry sauce...more like a relish really, I keep it pretty low sugar.

If you look on the bag of fresh cranberries it says to put 2 cups of sugar (something like that..I'm at work right now and can't look), I do 1 cup of sugar and the equivalent of 1 cup of splenda.  Then I add a large can of crushed pineapple (in it's own juice) and walnuts.  It's really yummy and very healthy.

I'm going to try that.  You still use regular sugar and Splenda?  I love the crunch of the walnuts in things.

Yep I mix it, don't ask me why, I guess I could try all Splenda I just haven't .  Also remember if you don't like really sour sauce either add more sugar/Splenda or more pineapple to tone it down a bit.

It really is good, I get requests to bring it to holiday dinners allot.  If I make it just for David and I he eats it like it was candy!

Zenders Cranberry - Apple relish

1lb. Northern Spy Apples
1lb. Dark red cranberries
2 cups sugar ( or use conversion on Splenda )
2 Whole Navel oranges, peel on

preparation:
1 wash and core the apples leaving the skin intact.
2 Freeze the cranberries solid.
3 In a food processor, add half frozen cranberries and half apples and turn to chop speed so that the pieces are about 1/4 inch square.
4 chop the entire pound of apples/cranberries and place in large mixing bowl and add sugar. Chop the pee;-on whole navel oranges to the same consistency and mix into the applea/craberries/sugar.
Refrigerate and let set 1 hour before surving.

makes a lot you may want to  half the recipe.
If you don't like all splenda use splenda for baking it is a mixture of sugar and splenda.

Jan - I've found everyone up here wants a referral.  Guess they don't think we're smart enough to know we need a procedure done and make our own appointments... it drives me nuts! I was telling my bariatric surgeon about it when I was in VA and he was asking why it was like that - uummmm - dunno....

Good Afternoon Everyone,
Today I just feel blah.  I overdid it this weekend and now my body feels like it is going into shutdown so I will rest.  I am even thinking I might grab a nap.  I had a yogurt this monring already and working on some water.  I am not really excited this morning.  Mary I would love hearing more about the group on sparkpeople.  I hope everyone has a wonderful Monday.
