Morning  Michigan.
I'M  drinking water right now.    Will probably go get my weekly glass of pop later today  as hubby works to marrow so we cant share and I want one now.    (I sound like one of my toddler charges don't I?)
Not real sure about tomorrow.   The family want me to come up to help deal with my moms stuff as my stepdad is changing things since she will never come home.    He Just wants more room.  Its his way of dealing.  I'M just not ready yet I guess.
Have a good day everyone  and a great weekend.

Good Morning Michiganders

I had my PHP appointment yesterday and he said I should get the flu and H1N1 shots. I told him I didn't think I was at risk as much as others. He said he didn't have any to give me anyway. But because I was diabetic and had WLS and was on a controlled starvation I would qualify. I told him I was not starving, I didn't even feel hungry LOL. So now I am good to go for 3 months. Unless I get the flu.

Haven't had a cup yet. I did manage to get 1 scrambled egg and 2 strips of bacon down. And the vitamins. I will get some hot tea later.

QOTD:  I get to go back to the gym and I am going to concentrate on that, I will start to get some stuff caught up from my 2 - week vacation while I was recovering from WLS. And get ready for the holidays coming up. Might even put up some holiday stuff. I have so much I might just bust it all out and really deck the halls. I feel very happy about the holidays this year.
I guess it is cause I survived the surgery.

Have a wonderful, Safe, Lucky Friday the 13TH every one!

I'm pretty sure you fall into a high risk category because you are diabetic.  We've been trying to get both flu shots since October since Dub is too young to get it, right now.  We fall into a priority group because we are caregivers for an infant under 6 months.  By the time we get it, though, he'll probably be 6 months!

I agree with your doctor... get the flu shots.   You ARE at a higher risk because of the diabetes and also the malabsorption syndrome that WLS causes.  And even if you don't feel hunger, you're still on a controlled starvation diet and your body's immune system is compromised because of it.  Don't mess around with this, get the vaccine if you can.

I will but he didn't have any available any ways. So I will have to watch the list to find out where I can get it.

Thanks for caring.

You're in Wayne County, right?  There's a H1N1 vaccine clinic being held tonight at the Lyons High School from 3pm to 7pm.  Here's the info
http://rochesterhomepage.net/content/fulltext/?cid=134511

Because the vaccines are being sent to county health departments first, then distributed down the line to doctor offices when there is enough available... you probably won't see shots available at your PCP's office until much later in the season.  The best way to get a shot is to hit one of the clinics being held at county health department locations.

Here's info on the Wayne County Health Department website

Good morning!  Having some of my regular Starbucks, as usual.  Not doing much today.  Probably going to my inlaws for a while.  Hubby was going to take today off (he had yesterday off, too), but his buddy at work had to be gone for a death in the family, so he went in.  He's also working tomorrow.  Gotta love OT!

QOTD: Tomorrow, doing some shopping with Brenda!!! YAY!!  Have to get a high chair.  Dub gets to eat "real" food at 6 months, which just happens to be on Thanksgiving.  Well, he has been showing the signs that he's ready, so we started out with a little runny rice cereal a week ago.  He was not too impressed with it.  However, this week I tried oatmeal.  HE LOVES OATMEAL!!  He's had it twice and just goes crazy when we feed it to him.  So, we really need the high chair!  I'm also going to get him new clothes.  He's growing like a weed!  Sunday and Monday (hubby's off Mon) we'll just do the regular stuff around the house!

Enjoy your day!
