Morning all,

Just finished my shake and vit's....still have b's under my tongue.  Boy was I surprised to see the fog this am., happily though,  I love fog.

Q:  I love to read too.  Nora Roberts, Catherine Coulter, Iris Johansen, James Patterson.....what I call foo foo books.  I used to love Patricia Cornwell, then she got a bit odd....big bummer cause I used to love her.  Right now I'm reading The Memory Keepers Daughter, it's pretty good (don't remember the author's name).

Have a great day,

Morning all

Finishing my 2nd cup of coffee.  Not alot going on this a.m., just chilling, the boss is out today.

QOTD - lately I have not read much.  I too, am a large cookbook reader.  I love finding new things to try, and tweeking it to fit our needs.  Currently my husband wants a low carb chocolate chip muffin.  I need to visit Eggface's website to see if she has a recipe or something I can convert.

Hope everyone enjoys the Sunshine

Good Morning Michiganders and anyone else who pops in

Alpine Spiced Cider SF. for me this morning.  It is cold here and I feel like I am freezing. had to put on a sweatshirt and big thick socks. I hope that I can make it through winter.
what's in your cup?

I had my 2-week post op visit yesterday with Dr. Carlin. Everything is going great. I asked him if he really did surgery on me and he said "well you see we have this placebo surgeries, and just make small cuts on people and tell them they had surgery" I looked at him with big eyes. He laughed and said No NO I was just joking then he handed me a paper report of everything they did.

Before seeing Dr, I saw Annette the dietitian and found out that I could have been adding some other stuff to my diet. so I have been only eating soft liquid type foods for the most part. I guess that they gave me good drugs in the Hospital cause I got all that confused.

On my Way  out I saw Cheryl. it was good to have a visit with an OH friend.
I finally succeeded to get 60 grams of protein in and 6 glasses of water yesterday,

QOTD: I am not a big reader or TV watcher, Most of the reading I do is on the computer. Love the interactivity. The last books I read were the Mia Anglo books and the Boy Named Dave groups.
I just never  give my self the luxury of setting down to read a book.  I think it is something I might make a plan to do.

Have a good Safe and exciting day today everyone.

Good Afternoon Everyone!

I started my morning off with Boost and then moved on to water.  I am at work trying to get things set for me to be away for a month.  Monday is coming fast!

QOTD: I read just about everything.  I LOVE to read.  My favorite is Anne McCaffrey.  I'm a huge fan of the Dragon Riders Series. I have most if not all of Nora Robert's books, both under Nora Roberts and JD Robb.  Mary Higgins Clark is another I read.   But I'll read just about anything!  Maybe some of those that live near each other can do a book exchange or something.  I plan on taking a couple of books to the hospital with me next week.

I hope everyone has a wonderful rest of your day.  Back to work for me!

Oh, man. I could not read while I was in the hospital, after my surgery.  I was too LOOPY!  I slept most of the time.  I vaguely remember those few days in between my surgery and going home.  I remember my hubby being there, but nothing that we talked about or did.  I imagine him sitting there staring at me sleeping or something.  I hardly remember getting up and walking, even though I know I did, several times.

Good luck on Monday!!

Iagree with tina
I was in and out of it all the time and I could not stay awake enough to post on my lap top when my hubby brought it for me. And when I tried to read the daily post on MI OH I would be doing the head bob and jerk. I even fell face first into the keyboard. lol and DH took it and put it in the closet. and that was the second day.

Good luck on the reading after OR. LOL

Do you even remember talking to me Mary?  You sounded drunk as a skunk with a tongue as thick as whatever...  You were funny, but I didn't laugh at the time.  :)

I remember talking to you but I was struggling, and my mouth was so dry I felt like someone glued my toungue to my teeth..

They had me on so much pain stuff that when they took the morphine pump away that I had to ask them to decrease the by mouth pain meds cause I was flying and really needing some grounding.

I could barely read the nurses names on the chalkboard let alone read a book.

I agree.  Don't bother taking the books to the hospital.  You're going to be so 'loopy' you won't be able to focus on them.  You won't be able to focus on TV either, so don't bother paying to have it.  Those two days go by in a blur.  You won't remember anything, or much of anything.
Good Luck.  I'll be thinking of ya.

It's 2:30 in the afternoon.  We were at UofM for an appointment for my hubby most of the morning.  Then it was off to the lab for bloodwork and then lunch at Panera.  Yum....they have vermont white cheddar mac and cheese right now.  Anyway, Dub stayed home with Grandma, and it's so weird when DH and I go out without him!  We spent over 18 years married, just the two of us.  Dub's been here for 5 months and we can't remember what life was like without him, nor do we want to!
QOTD:  I LOVE to read, but just can't seem to find the time now.  I have read one book, for pleasure since Dub came along.  What should've taken me a couple days, took me a couple weeks.  Must be the book just wasn't as interesting as playing with DUB!  LOL!  I like a lot of the same authors that all of you have talked about.  I could spend hours in a book store.  I've been reading a lot of Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, lately, for Dub, but that's about the extent of it.  I subscribed to Food Network Magazine one day.  I have gotten three of the magazines so far and haven't looked at any of them.  I have good intentions to, but it's like the last thing I ever think about.  Which is why I never get magazine subscriptions in the first place.  I don't know what I was thinking...moment of weakness, I guess!
