Which hospital would you choose?

I'm researching plastic surgery options.  The doc I'm leaning towards operates at Bay Med, Midland and sometimes Saginaw Covenant.

If money was no option, which hospital would you choose and why?

(Covenant is about 1400 less than Bay Med, which is less that Midland.)

The surgeons I am considering are DiNick, Komorowski and Weiss.  Any input on them would be appreciated, too!

I have always had exceptional service at Bay Med.  The staff has always been wonderful regardless of what we are there for.

I have heard good things about Dr. Komorowski, but not sure how many WLS patients he has done.  I have a couple of friends that have used DiNick in Ypsilanti and have been very pleased.

I wish you the best

Thanks, bPam... DiNick was the first I saw.  His suggestions were a bit more extensive and risky.  Komorowski and Weiss had the same suggestions (as each other) and offered lots of information.  DiNick was still good though.

My Dad has been to Covenant for (many) heart surgeries and likes the staff.  I've got friends that have gone to Bay Med, but only for baby deliveries.

Komorowski has a staff and OR time at Bay Med.  He operates at Midland and Saginaw Covenant, but he does not have his own OR block or staff... and it's usually only ambulatory whereas I'll need to spend the night (due to having 3 procedures).

Weiss operates at Covenant and has his own OR block and staff.

Kris,

I knew there was someone else I was thinking of.  Have you checked in to Dr. Stephen Morris who works out of St. Mary in Saginaw?  My SIL had him do her surgery after her RNY.  She looked great when he was done.

If I were choosing, I would go with the least expensive. If money were no problem, I'd go with Bay Med since it's the closest to where I live. So I'm really no help for you, sorry. lol

I'm just curious, what sort of prices do these surgeons charge? PS is still a ways down the road for me, but I would be interested to hear about the cost of it in this area.

For a tummy tuck, you can plan on approximately $5000 for the surgeon and a separate charge for the hospital/anasthestiologist (sp?).  I will be having 3 procedures (multiples get discounted), and the total including the hospital is approximately $12-13.5K depending on the surgeon and hospital.  There is a difference of $1400 between Covenant and Bay Med (Covenant being the cheapest).

I need to know more about this too. I want a TT in the future as well and want to know what the costs will be.
