Does anyone have any idea after everything is ready to go, how long does it take for them to schedule surgery?  My last step, the psych eval is Nov 16th.  I am anxious to have it done asap but worried because my step daughter is gonna deliver my grandbaby the 1st of Dec and asked me to be there for delivery.  I want both very badly and the excitement is killing me. I also want to thank you all for your advice and support along the way.  I look at what you have to say prolly 3 times a day.  Thanks everyone!

There is no rule for this time table thing... it varies greatly based on the place you are having it done.

good luck with both :)

Ask your surgeons office.  They know how long it takes to get your ins. approved, and how long out they are scheduling surgeries, each office is different.

Good luck,

It took only a week for Aetna PPO to approve RNY. I'm 3 days postop and feeling good today so if you have it soon you should be good for that new baby. I delayed my surgery a couple weeks due to work and home schedule. I think the approval date is good for a month they just have to call and change the date.  I'm on clear liquids for a week the mushies for a month if that helps.Good Luck!

I'd call tomorrow and ask if they could submit this week since you are scheduled for the psych eval and if everything else is done. One girl I know had the psyche eval the day before her surgery.
