QOTD:Is there a piece of clothinig or other attire you cannot get rid of after losing weight? For the newbies what piece do you think you will have a hard time getting rid of?
I have a sundress I have worn for pj's for almost 8 years.A little holy but so comfy. It is getting so big my girls are popping out of the arm holes, lol.Other than that I got rid of everything except sentimental things i.e. wedding dress, the clothes I wore to my mother's funeral etc.........

Hello Danielle and all the rest of our group and newbies too.

Danielle what new position did you get. last I heard you were not happy in your job cause of the lack of caring by other co workers. Hope this has made things better.

I am going to make a protein drink and take my vitamins. I am wondering if I am weird. I have not had very much pain, been able to get to my usual routine, have been eating according to the planned stages, And have no real issues. I don't get sick when I eat, my wounds feel as though I was scratched by a cat no major pain, I am getting around just like I did before my surgery. I wonder if I ate more there would be issues. I don't get any real signals of fullness except the feeling that I have a deep burp waiting to get out. Was I just over preparing myself and expecting things to be worse. My weight is just sort of sitting at 284 but my rings and jeans are looser. I had to ask my hubby "What did the doctor say after my surgery? are you sure he did anything?"
one week out and I think I am nuts.

QOTD: My tigger coat it was given to me by a very dear friend that I worked with for many yrs. after I gave him my left over Disney tickets for his family to use.

have a nice day and "Don' Worry Be Happy"

I felt much the same after my surgery.  Like it was no big deal.  The more I tried (food wise) the more I found different symptoms.  When I ate/eat chicken I seem to get a real full feeling between my ribs, and if I eat too fast I get the same sensation.  Most of the time I do pretty good, but have had some bumps in the road.  I think you prepared yourself just fine, you knew what could happen and prepared yourself for those possibilities.  Keep up with the regimen.

Hi Mary,

I was the same as you, hardly any pain.  I was also anal w/ my food (I didn't have any bread, not even a cracker for 7 mo's), so I didn't have many problems because I didn't pu****  If you pu**** ie: large serving's, bread, not chewing enough... trust me you'll know you had the surgery LOL!

Right now and for the next few months you may not feel full...., well, what you used to call full.  Your new stomach is still swollen and the nerve endings have been cut.  As time passes and those things repair themselves things will start to feel normal again.  But for me that took prob. a year to feel "normal" again.  Don't think you'll feel like you do now for a year, that's not what I'm saying.  But as time went on and I could look back I would say that again for me, it was a year before I felt normal.  Notice that next week is my 2 year anniversary and I can look back a long time!

Your doing great!

It is kind of strange actually.I was promoted to clinical coordinator.I am a manager of a unit, doing more paperwork, supervision and on call status.Hoping I can be part of the solution to the problem. They usually only give these jobs to RN's I am an LPN but they asked me after they got rid of two RN's in the position stating I am an independent worker with good assessment skills and know their  procedures. It was very unexpected and I wasn't sure I could do it.I will give it my all and try. Most everyone except me thinks I will do a fine job but only time will tell. Most of the paperwork is foreign to me because it has to do with regulations and such but I got my first crack yesterday and hung in there so maybe I will surprise myself. Thanks for asking,Mary......You are doing a fantastic job btw.Know you are one of the lucky one's to have no issues....Keep up the good work!

Hi Everyone,
I was up and out the door early this monring to get some running around done.  It was a beautiful day out.  A nice breeze with the sun it could have passed for spring.  Danielle congrats on the new job I am sure you will be great at it!!!  Mary I had no issues either after my surgery.  Had it on Tuesday home on Thursday and shopping at Walmarts on Saturday.  Now my hysterectomy I had a week ago Friday and had no outside cuts was painful.  I am still feeling funny inside.  I have had no ill effects from my WLS at all, and I know many that do have issues.  I will be making chicken pot pie tonight.  I got the recipe from hungrey girl.  QOTD: The only thing I have saved is a pair of jeans in a size 30/32.  I hope everyone had a great day.
