Good morning Danielle and everyone,
I'm getting ready to head out the door to work.  DH started my car for me....so sweet!

I have been woken up at around 3-4am every single day for the past 2 weeks by one of the following things: Hubby's horrible sleep apnea that makes him gag and choke and snore all night (but he refuses to get treated for it), the dog licking herself constantly (this is new, not sure why she is doing it but she feels the need to lay next to my side of the bed and do it all night), or Nick getting up for the day and playing his Barney toys over and over.  I am ready to start sleeping in the van at night!

FFF-  Ummmm, I don't really have 5 things.  I have made myself eat new foods that I don't like because they are good for me, and I exercise more.   That's about it.  I'll have to owe you guys 3 extra answers next week or something.

Hope you all have a great day!

What does that mean, Shannon?
She is licking her um.....girly parts....and then her breath smells really gross after.  We are taking her in to the vet to see what is up.

Dogs tend to have bad breath REGARDLESS of what they lick!  LOL!  And "hot spots", from what I understand, were just spots that they continuously licked.....kinda like a bedsore...dogs are gross.  My sister's dog would get them and she would lick them constantly. But dog saliva has antibiotic properties and licking wounds creates blood flow and gives the dog natural healing to the wound.  But when it comes to THAT type of licking...well, Ruby has issues and she smells.  We take her to the vet to get her "anal" gland cleaned out (GAGS ME JUST TYPING THAT...DISGUSTING!) and that helps her.  Is Kelly dragging her butt?  LOL!!  Seriously, that can be a sign that she needs that gland cleaned out.

I love my dogs, but since the kid has come along, they are just more mess to clean up!!!!  Grrrrr....I'm hoping that once Dub gets a little bigger, I can keep up with the dogs better.  Good thing AJ loves em so much!  I never thought my dogs would JUST BE DOGS someday!!  Kinda sad!

Anal glands needed to be "released".  Gross, gross, gross, gross.  I don't even want to talk about it.

I'm not a dog person at all.  I think old Kelly will be our first and only dog.

might be getting ready for heat or could have urinary infection. Could be a food alergy did you change her kibble.

Good Morning everyone!  I was up earlier than usual today.  My morning coffee is as usual water.  Nice ice cold water.  I'm 10 days away from surgery and getting a bit nervous but on the same hand I'm excited.  I start my liquid diet on Monday.

5 for Friday

1 ~ Start a Family.  I've been married 10 years now and we would love to start a family.  We're both hoping the surgery will help with that.
2 ~ Be able to go up and down the stairs without feeling my knees crunching.
3 ~ Be able to work out at the gym for longer than 30 minutes without feeling like I'm going to die and can't breathe
4 ~ Be able to shop at any store.  There are so many cute things out there but they just don't come in my size.
5 ~ Have more energy.  I can't wait to have more energy.  I have sleep apnea and even with the cpap I seem to always feel like I need a nap if I stop for 5 minutes.

Your number one is the ONLY reason I cared about in having surgery!  Sure, losing weight was a plus, having better health...etc.  I got pregnant after losing 100 pounds on my own.  I had an early miscarriage, but we were happy that "things" worked.  I gained that weight back over time and that led me to WLS.  Here I am, 4 years post op, 39 years old, about to celebrate my 19th wedding anniversary in a couple weeks, and I have a 5 month old.  I never reached my weight loss goal as far as pounds lost, but I did reach my WLS goal in terms of the REASON I had it...and that is my sweet, little angel...DUB!!!  Weight was my biggest obstacle in that it caused hormonal imbalances.  We did have a minimum of fertility intervention (meds), but I still attribute that success to weight loss.  I also had a blocked fallopian tube, which subsequently led to an ectopic pregnancy and the removal of that tube, one year prior to getting pregnant with my son.  Seriously, I found out that pregnancy was ectopic exactly one year before, to the day, I found out I was pregnant with my son!  So, I completely understand your number one and I hope all works out well for you in that area!!

Good Morning All!

I had low sugar orange juice to start out my day . . getting ready to head to see the surgeon in Flint to see what he is going to do about the opening in my incision . . I'm sure he will be closing it up.  Not sure if all the infection is gone I had a 101 temp last night . . when will this be over . . . whine whine whine

Here are my Five;
1) . . I can walk without being winded and walking the stairs now feels great on my legs
2) . . I love when people compliment . . even though I don't take compliments well it's nice to hear.
3) . . I eat very well . I eat often so my surgeon would consider it grazing but it works for me
4) . . I never though I could do a 5k let alone a 10k and I did and love it  . . it was amazing
5) . . It changed my life not only my hair, cloths and looks but my attitude . . I can do anything I put my mind to  . . I probably could have always done them before but didn't have the confidence and now I do.

Thanks for the questions this morning Danielle . . sometimes we forget all the goods things and focus on the negative . . .
Enjoy the beautiful sun!
