Sunday Sleep over

 Hey all!

I had a WONDERFUL day of pampering yesterday.  Figured I should kick off my vacation in style.  Had a facial, brow waxing, manicure ... went out for lunch, then came back to the salon for some highlights on top of my new haircut and color that I got Friday evening.  I was going to do a pedicure, but I hadn't shaved my legs, so figured I'd do that myself today.  LOL!

I saw Kristy on Friday night at the hospital when I went up to see Grandma.  She was suppose to be out by Friday night, but the doc kept her another day.  So she was leaving the hospital Saturday around noon-ish.  Then heading to her parents house (her son has the flu, so she's staying away from her own house).  She's got a doctor appointment on Monday morning with her doctor.  Kristy wanted me to let everyone know she MISSES you guys.  Said she's going through OH Withdrawal symptoms.  She'll be back soon, I'm sure.

I'm cleaning the house today and packing my bags for tomorrow morning's flight to FL.  So I won't be around for the next week and a half or so.

QOTD -- Does hunting for bargains at the mall count?  I'm defintiely one to search out a good deal.  :-)

Good Morning,
What a beautiful morning here in Mid-Michigan the sun is shinning and it's nice and cool.

I'm staying with my mom and she had all the clocks changed at 8:00 last night which had me totally confused all evening.

QUOTED- I don't hunt but did go sit in the woods a few times with my ex-husband, I felt so close to God there watching the animals go to their nests and just being in the silence of nature it was truly peaceful.  All the men in my family hunt . . . or say the do . .  Lil  they all head up to the UP twice in the fall for some good old guy bonding which I think is good for all of them.

Enjoy your Sunday!

Morning all,

We set the clocks back, but my internal clock didn't know that!  Big bummer, I was up by 6:30 :(.

Glad to hear Kristi is getting out of the hospital and is feeling better.....we miss you Kristi.

Q:  Hubby and I don't hunt, but most of my family does.  I think it's sad to see the deer on top of the cars going south on 75 on Sunday's.  I personally have never had venison...I do understand hunting and have no issue with it, if you eat it, not just hang it's head on a wall!

Have a great day all,

Good Morning All,

I had no clue about the time change until someone at work told me last night.

QOTD--My late husband was a hunter.  I love wild game.  I always loved to sit in the blind.  I never got a deer but it is very peaceful.  The first deer DH ever shot I had to dress out.  He dislocated his shoulder the day after he shot it.  A friend came over and skinned it for us.  We did not have the extra money to have it processed so I done it.  I managed not to butcher all the good meat but after that it was all hamburger. lol  It was a learning experience.

We forgot to tell Dub that we get an extra hour or sleep this morning.  He was up at 7, his normal time, however this AM it was 6!  We walked around with our cousins while they trick or treated last night.  We had a lot of fun.

QOTD:  I do not hunt, personally, but my hubby does.  He hopes to get three deer this year.  While I don't like the whole "killing for sport" aspect of hunting (that some people do), I would rather someone shoot a deer than me or anyone else hit it with their car.  We live in the woods, basically, surrounded by state land.  We get deer in our yard everyday, along with wild turkeys.  I love to watch them.  My hubby could, literally sit on the deck and hunt, but I fortunately, he'd rather be in the woods!  As long as I don't have to see it or eat it (I HATE venison, regardless of how it's cooked....ICK).  Everyone always tells me, "Oh you just haven't had it prepared the right way."  Not true.  I've had venison cooked MANY ways.  Can't stand the "gamey" taste.

I just wanted to add, that if hubby does get three deer, he will have some made into summer sausage and give the rest to my brother and his family (unless he gets three deer, too, then we'll donate the meat).

Good Morning Everyone,
I was able to come home yesterday afternoon.  It is so nice to be home in my own bed.  I am glad to see Kristi home and feeling so much better.  Mary I hope each day will be easier for you, and Pam have a great time on vacation.  Plans for this week just resting and recouping for me.  QOTD: No one does hunts here at all unless like Pam a good bargin counts.  I hope everyone has a wonderful sunny Sunday.
