Hey all -

another busy morning here at the office.  I'll be glad when 4pm rolls around for VACATION!!!  Leaving a bit early so I can get my hair done.  Priorities, ya know.

QOTD -- I think I shared this one before.  One year for Christmas at an extended family's celebration, we drew names ... so I got one gift for the day.  My gift was a salt and pepper shaker set.  The price tag was still on it from Dollar General ($2) and when I opened the box the salt shaker was broken in a hundred pieces and the pepper shaker was cracked.  I just closed up the box and said a polite thank you.  LOL!

I'm a total regifter.  I keep several items in my hall closet that are saved for gifts.  It's also where I go when I need a quick item to contribute to the family reunion auctions (we have 3 reunions and all of them have auctions to raise money for the following year's party).

For those that live around the Westland area they will know what I am talking about...But, every year we have a very lovely light show put up along Hines Drive. It seems like for the past 5 yrs or so when they start putting the lights up we start getting rain and it rains for 40 days and 40 nights...So puleeeeeeeeeeez lets send the lights somewhere else. I am sick of rain, I need sunshine... Oh well, after all of that....I had my coffee at 4 this morning when I got up for work. Lunchtime now...having left over goulash.

I can not think of a strange gift and no I do not regift. I am a giver awayer...I enjoy giving things away to others...

Our losers bench sure is growing...it is wonderful.....

Good Afternoon All,

Have a busy day today.  I am the gofer for everyone .  Pick up this, drop kids off at parties and pick them up again.  I don't like to drive and I really don't like to drive in the rain.

QOTD--The strangest gift I received was for Christmas from my mom.  I think it was more creapy than strange.  It was a statue and no matter where you were in the room it was looking at you.  Like the eyes followed you.  She paid a ton of money for it and I did not have the heart to tell her that it hit the trash can real quick.  As far a regifting, I do it.  I try to make sure it is a good present for the person.  I don't just wrap it up for any person.  If it can save you some bucks, why not.

Afternoon all,

Today is one of those days, where I like my job, but not my working environment.  I came in a bit late, and got the feeling something happened in the office and no one is talking about it.  The stress level is extremely high and I don't know why.

Its month end, that doesn't help.  My tummy doesn't like me today, and I think it is the stress level.  Today is Friday, is all I keep repeating to myself.

QOTD - most any gift my husband buys for me that he picked out himself.  I have gotten foot massagers - I have very ticklish feet, and hate it, he loves it.  Chair back massager same thing.  Finally he gave in, and I now buy my own present or he just gives me money.

Look at the pictures of Cheryl and Pam above.  Am I imagining something or is there a resemblence?

Ok, I know it's late, but I just got downstate.  Drove in the rain the whole 4 hours!  Yuk.  It has appeared to have stopped here for the moment thankgoodness.  Today is Gary's last day of work.  His retirement is effective Nov 1st.  Three of the guys he works with took him to the bar at lunch and I just talked to him, he said he hasn't had this much to drink in a long time.  Well, he's back at work now...his dinner party isn't until 4:30 so I hope he sobers up some by then.  The guys bought him a new digital camera, memory card, case and a years membership to a gun range.  He'll be really excited with that.  He said he didn't sleep at all last night, nerves...
QOTD:  One of my friends buys me things like stuffed animals.  For heavens sake, I'm 58 years old, I no longer like or need stuffed animals!  And yes, I have been known to re-gift on occasion.  In fact, one friend bought me some scrapbooking stuff (a harley scrap book and pages and stickers)  I don't scrapbook, and never plan to do so.  I know she spent a lot of money on this stuff, so I re-gifted it back to her.  She was actually thrilled, so it all worked out.

It is what it is.
If He brings you to it, He'll bring you through it...
