Good Morning Michigan!

Will start on water in a minute.  I am going to get my hair "done"  today.  I am way overdue.

QOTD ~ We wont pass out candy as we live out in the boonies.  We never get trick or treaters.  We will take the boys into town to my sisters for her annual Halloween party and then take them to a few houses.

Brenda, what a great thing that dentist is doing.  Love it.  I hope you all have a fabulous day!!

Good Morning Everyone!

My last day of the work week.  I love Thursdays! (at least for now).  Jus****er for me to drink.  I'm not a coffee drinker and I gave up pop back in March so nice cold ice water is what I drink.
I'm starting to get nervous about my upcoming surgery.  It's just a couple weeks away.  I gained some weight as I haven't been able to do much other than walking for the last 2 months.  I had surgery on my hand so it was hard to do alot if involved using my hand.  I did try really hard to eat right.  Now I have to get these few extra pounds off again before my weigh in on the 11th.  I'm back to going to the gym every day and doing just cardio.  I'll just have to keep working hard.  My thoughts and prayrs are with mary today.  I can't wait to hear how everything went.

QOTD:  We have a bag of mixed candybars and m&m's we got from Costco.  I will not be eating any and if there are leftovers they will go next door to my sister's house so that I can't see them.  I'm having a hard time at work because everywhere I walk in the building people have candy out on their desks.  Those around here that know I'm having surgery laugh at me because I walk through the building looking straight ahead, I don't look towards anyone's desks Where as I used to say goodmorning to everyone and smile now I just stay focused on getting to the kitchen and back to my desk without caving.

Have a great day everyone!

Morning

Sitting here drinking my crystal light as usual.. Just had toast for breakfast... We are watching The Little Mermaid... We got a new Little here who is 3 years old.. Ladybug left us a couple of weeks ago... I have a busy day ahead of me.. We have to go to the dentist and then Target... Plus I think we are going to carve all of our pumpkins tonight.... But I am with Brenda... It is Survivor night! I like this season since Russell is making it pretty interesting.. and in a different light I like Shambo just because she has such heart!!

QOTD: We are giving out special bags to the little girls in our neighborhood... I buy them special things and put it in a bag.. I have some candy to mix in there too. This year I added the McDonalds trick or treat sheet to the mix for them so that their parents get a break when they go to McDonalds. LOL We are heading out to Sterling Heights to go trick or treating this year with my inlaws... They have a smaller subdivision and we can enjoy it with my nieces as well.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning all!!!  Today is DAY 1 of my pre-op liquid diet.  UUGGGH. So I am drinking a nice hot cup of apple-cinnamon tea from Tim Horton's. I was in a hurry, (first mistake of the day!) and went thru the drive-thru. $1.33 for some ho****er and a tea bag!! What a rip off!! I could have bought a whole box of it for that price! (Yes, I know, see what I get for not planning ahead!! It IS on the to-do list!! lol)
If I live thru the next 7 days, I think I will be able to accomplish anything! Surgery exactly 1 week from today.  I can't wait to talk to Mary (we have the same Dr!)
The dentist buying back the candy is an awesome idea! Do you know which dentist is doing it in Westland?  (I work for a dentist as well and wanted to do this, but we just didn't get it together this year, so I am planning it for next year!)

QOTD: I bought a TON of chocolate to pass out this year. Every year I buy something that we don't like as a family and every year my hubby and the kids yell at me. So this year I caved in and there are HUGE bags of kit kats, reeses, and peanut butter cups ready to go. OF COURSE they are already dug into and the hubby and kids are ecstatic.  (I secretly did buy 2 big boxes of the gummy fruit things to pass out too cuz I knew the cows would eat all the chocolate!)

HAVE A FABULOUS DAY ALL!!! Now, back to my liquids!!!

Gotta get moving this morning.
QOTD:  Nothing.  Living up north here has it's benefits.  No candy in the house!  I had a dream lastnight that I tried sweets and could tolerate the sugar and went on a binge.  THAT's why I won't try it, for a while anyway.  There are only 5 full time families in my area, wait, 7.  No kids, so halloween is a breeze.  I'll be down state at my son & DIL's so I'll get to see the kids just the same.
Gotta jump in the shower and do some errands, then pack to go downstate, once again....

Morning all,

Today is my first day back to coffee, man does it taste good.  Have to have my breakfast yet, ate a banana to take my morning meds with at 6:30.  It will be weight control oatmeal or carbmaster and fiber one twigs.

QOTD - I don't buy candy.  My MIL does, her and my hubby, who are both diabetic, have went through 6 bags of candy in the last 2 weeks.  The did one bag alone yesterday.   My hubby showed me where she stashed it, so the kids can't find it.  I was amazed.  She had him take her to town yesterday because she needed more.  There are 4 giant bags and 4-6 small bags of various candy bars in her bedroom, besides what is in the kitchen.  We get under 5 kids besides the family ones who she does special bags for.   I will eat my chocolite bars and watch them go through the diabetic coma.

Lots to do, its month end.

Man it has been a long while since I last stopped by the Michigan Forum for a coffee. I can't believe how well all of you are doing! It is amazing. I have to start dropping by more often, before you are all to thin to see. Guess I should learn to like coffee.

So, even though morning is almost over, I'm still enjoying my coffee before I head out to meet with my NUT.  I have my meeting for instructions for my pre-op diet today, even though I don't have insurance approval and thus a surgery date yet.   The insurance co. said I should hear something by the end of this week or beginning of next.  In the meantime, I'm waiting on tenterhooks...

QOTD:  We don't get trick or treaters here, but I've always been kind of a picky candy eater, so I just buy stuff that I won't eat.  I've got a whole bag of Hershey's kisses in my closet left over from when I was teaching last year, because I won't eat solid milk chocolate.  So if I did have trick or treaters it would be all about the hershey's milk chocolate or reese's  peanut butter cups because I would never dream of eating either of those things.

Best wishes to Mary today (although by this time she may be done with her surgery!)
