Good Morning everyone!

I have had 16 oz of SF Grape Koolaid and a protien shake this morning.  am getting ready for some protien coffee.  I am in a stall and I hate it.  I have not lost anything since Oct 13th and it's frustrating me so I've decided to add some protien and really work on getting in my fluids.  I exercise 4-5 times a week and eat lots of protien things, but the scale is not budging...Ugh!

QOTD:  I did get a flu shot this year.  I have never gotten one before and I never get sick (knock on wood).  But this year some of my co-workers talked me into getting one.  My son has had the 'flu' since Sunday.  He's been running a fever, aches & chills.  So he's been taking Tylenol to control the fever and drinking lots of fluids.

Have a great day everyone!

QOTD-  My one year old was sick with a double ear infection and cold.  I had some sort of crud two weeks ago and then spent the following week Exhausted.  (First day back at the gym for me today. ) I had my flu shot last month.  My boys go on friday for theirs.

Mary,  GOOD LUCK tomorrow.  I will include you in my prayers.  Your going to do great!

Good Morning All,

Strawberry protein shake for me today.  I have a long day at work today so I packed my magic bullet.  People look at me like I'm a nut when I use it.  Oh well, at least I'll get my protein in.

QOTD-My youngest son and I have gotten the regular flu shot.  My oldest son has had football practice and games so I have not been able to get him one yet.  Hopefully soon though.  The H1N1 I am not so sure about.  That one I am leary about.  My mom is going to get one though, she had a liver trasplant 2 years ago and Henry Ford sent her a letter telling her she needs one.

Mary I am excited for you.  Tomorrow you will be on the losers bench.
Have a great day.

Off to work I go.

Morning all,

Today is my first day at work all week.  I was in ER on Sunday with an Ileus, for some reason, I am having parts of my large intestine stop working.  When it does, generally I can walk it off and get them stimulated and moving again.  Sunday, it hit me really quickly and really hard.  Within 5 minutes I was doubled over in pain and having problems breathing because of the pain level.  My hubby was at work and could not get home, so my SIL took me to ER.  Yes they were swamped with flu cases.

After 5 hours in ER, they didn't want to give me paid meds because they thought they were going to have to do surgery.  My pain was caused by a large amount of gas backed up behind the section of intestine that wasn't working properly.  OK, you think if it was gas, it would just flow along through.  Nope, so what did they do for me?  They gave me that nasty bowel prep stuff they give you for colonoscopies to stimulate my intestine.  Ok, I had told them I had RNY, and you think the could have taken that into consideration.  I thought they did when they gave me the directions for use of this stuff.  No, they said it would take 4 hours to work through, try 15 minutes.  I am glad I didn't take it in the ER like they wanted me to.  I had a 35 minute drive home.

Anyway.  Onward and forward.

QOTD - went to get my flu shot last week, the doc office is out.  Not sure if they are getting anymore or not.  He told me to go to walgreens or riteaid to get it.  My insurance won't cover those locations.  So I am still contemplating what to do.

I would love that deal.  I am getting very concerned about the amount of times this is occuring.  My doc said it is no big deal, and my surgeons office kind of blows me off.  Not real happy with my aftercare right now.

Thanks

Sorry you've had to go through that Pam.  I take it the prep kicked things back in and surgery wasn't necessary?  Have you always had this prob. since surg. or is it a new thing?
Hope your feeling better,

Edie
